We hereby share an unofficial translation of a collection of employment crimes recorded in Greece, published by Prolet Connect on 11th of January 2026.
We are publishing yet another attempt to record employer crimes from the beginning of September until the end of December 2025.
1/9 62-year-old dockworker Pantelis Georgiou lost his life during loading and unloading operations at the PPA station.
5/9 An employee at the IKEA in Kifissia was seriously injured during work in the warehouse.
15/9 A 57-year-old security guard at a hotel in Lasithi lost his life while at work.
16/9 An employee in the brake department at the Stavroupoli depot of the Thessaloniki Urban Transport Organization (OASTH) suffered eye injuries from flying debris during maintenance work.
17/9 Two hotel employees suffered severe burns following a gas leak at the Caretta hotel complex in Zakynthos.
17/9 A 61-year-old employee of the Volos Municipality Cleaning Service was hospitalized after suffering an ischemic stroke.
18/9 A 35-year-old worker lost his life when he was crushed by a machine at the TITAN facilities in Thessaloniki.
19/9 Two workers were injured at a building materials yard in Kozani after an oxygen cylinder exploded.
22/9 A 70-year-old worker lost his life when, following a cardiac arrest, he fell from a ladder at a photovoltaic park in Larissa.
24/9 A worker at the company “POKAS” suffered serious injury to his limbs and waist after he was struck by falling bags of lime at the TRIPOLI Industrial Area.
24/9 A 20-year-old seaman lost his life at sea while working on the ship “BLUE STAR CHIOS.”
25/9 A 53-year-old forklift operator lost his life at the “Tsakiris” factory in Atalanti when he was struck by one of the machines.
25/9 A 29-year-old worker, a crew member on a cargo ship, suffered an electric shock while carrying out repair work in the Perama Ship Repair Zone.
29/9 A worker lost his life when he was crushed by a boat-building machine in Antiparos.
30/9 A 64-year-old street cleaner for the Municipality of Athens, under the 55-67 program, died while at work.
6/10 A 51-year-old woman working on a garbage truck in Heraklion, Crete, was injured after falling from the vehicle.
12/10 A worker at a ginning mill in Farsala was seriously injured, resulting in the amputation of her hand.
12/10 A seasonal worker employed as a security guard at the Zante Park hotel in Zakynthos was injured when he was crushed by a gate.
13/10 A 50-year-old worker was seriously injured after falling from a building in Sindos.
15/10 A worker on an 8-month contract as a garbage collector in the municipality of Souli was seriously injured in the arm when she was hit by a garbage bin.
16/10 A 26-year-old worker at the Sindos Industrial Area was injured in the leg when he was hit by a wooden crate.
16/10 A 45-year-old worker at a quarry owned by the Pavlidis company in Drama lost his life while at work.
21/10 A 60-year-old builder in Heraklion, Crete, lost his life due to cardiac arrest while at work.
23/10 A crane operator suffered serious injury to his leg while working in Argolis.
23/10 A 50-year-old worker at a raisin processing factory in Heraklion, Crete, had an iron rod pierce his hand while at work, resulting in serious injury.

3/11 60-year-old worker Thodoris Theocharidis lost his life when an oven exploded while he was working at the Nestos Founts canning factory in Xanthi. Another colleague was injured.
6/11 A 47-year-old worker, a contract garbage collector for the Municipality of Aktio-Vonitsa, was seriously injured when he fell from the vehicle. On 9/11, he was hospitalized in Ioannina.
