The New Irish Republican Army (New IRA) has claimed responsibility for an attack on a Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) station in Lurgan. New IRA said in a statement issued by Easter, that it remains “committed to the path of revolution”, reported Irish Republican News.

The group ordered a food delivery driver to transport an explosive device to a police station, heavily protected. The device passed through a security post and an open gate before being parked behind a wall. The food company was a target of the operation “because the business is a supplier to the Crown Forces.”

The New IRA stated: “While the British government continues its presence in Ireland, the IRA reserves the right to use every means at its disposal to end that presence”.
