Germany – Red League: To the streets for the 1st of May!
We hereby share a call issued by the Red League for the upcoming 1st of May, published on Dem Volke Dienen.
Proletarians of all countries, unite!
To the streets for 1st of May!
This year, we at the Red League call on all those who share the political positions outlined below to join us in taking to the streets on 1st of May to celebrate the Day of the International Proletariat with vigor.
Against imperialist aggression – Let’s support the national liberation struggles!
The imperialist states want to overcome their crisis by intensifying the exploitation of oppressed nations. They want to plunder even more wealth. With modern colonial wars, they are ravaging the world. As the bloodthirsty robbers they are, they all want a larger share of the spoils, and that is why they fight each other on the soil of other countries. The greatest of these robbers is U.S. imperialism, the main enemy of the peoples of the world, which, together with its Israeli gang of butchers, is waging a war of extermination against the Palestinian people, threatening over 90 million Iranians with nuclear annihilation, and announcing the official reintroduction of the “Monroe Doctrine” – thereby issuing its open declaration of war against the countries and peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean. The Russian imperialists dream of regaining the place they lost in the world order at the beginning of the 1990s; to this end, they continue their war of aggression against the Ukrainian people.
We stand against this and every other imperialist aggression. We stand firmly alongside the national resistance front in Palestine. We stand firmly on the side of the defenders of Iran’s right to national self-determination. We stand on the side of Cuba and all other countries in Latin America and the Caribbean against Yankee aggression. We stand on the side of the people of Ukraine against the Russian aggressor.
The Red League always stands on the side of the oppressed nations. We support every national liberation war against imperialism.
Against the state of the exploiters and its government—struggle and resistance!
The state in which we live in is an instrument for maintaining the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie, which today is completely subservient to the interests of finance capital. Its purpose is to safeguard and enforce the exploitation and oppression of the working class and the masses. It is no wonder that as unemployment rises, everything we need to survive becomes more expensive, real wages fall (i.e., exploitation intensifies), and more and more people in this country live in poverty – while at the same time the stock market breaks one record after another and DAX-listed (most important German stock market index) corporations distribute record dividends to their shareholders. This state exists to ensure this order of things. This state is not here for us. It is not our state. It is the state of the exploiters. The Merz government – the entity that holds the record for the speed with which election promises can be broken – is nothing more than the political representative of this state, the repugnant enforcers of the moment. The only thing that really holds the coalition between the CDU/CSU bandits and the SPD bandits together is their fear that the AfD bandits will become stronger. The government has no objection to the AfD’s racist agitation; Merz is doing everything he can to outdo them. They have no objection to the terrorist repression against the population; Dobrint is implementing it with flying colors. They have nothing against the “struggle against the parasites” – Klingbeil is taking firm hold of it.
We stand against them all. We are against exploitation and oppression. We are against their state and their government. We support every struggle directed against the bourgeois state, finance capital, and all their parties and organizations. We stand with those on strike, the protesters, the unyielding, and the resisters. We stand unwaveringly with those who fight back.
The Red League always stands with the working class. We struggle and resist.
Against Opportunism – it is right to rebel!
Around the world and here at home, more and more militant movements are emerging against the imperialist system. In the oppressed nations, powerful struggles are developing – whether they be national resistance wars, People’s Wars led by Communist Parties, or revolutionary mass movements that shake the old order to its foundations – demonstrating that a magnificent development of a new great wave of the proletarian world revolution is underway. In Germany, the excellent movement in support of the National Resistance Front in Palestine and the growing anti-militarist youth movement, to name just two outstanding examples, show how a genuine popular movement against imperialism has begun to develop. This is a wonderful thing and must be further developed, with class consciousness and appropriate organization. But at present, the popular movement is weak, not necessarily in quantitative terms, but ideologically. The influence of the ruling class’s opportunist henchmen is still huge. The voices calling to steer the struggle into parliamentary and legalistic channels, the voices shouting “the main enemy is within our own country” – using the correct slogan against the social-chauvinist position in the struggle between imperialists in the most shameful way to deny solidarity with the struggling peoples in the oppressed nations – the voices that say revolutionary violence means getting beaten up at demonstrations without making any serious attempt to fight back, the voices that spread pacifism and illusions about a supposed possibility of transforming the world without weapons – these are the voices of the sirens that seek to lead the fighters to ruin; these are the voices of the social-patriots. These voices must and will be crushed by the mighty thunder of the struggle of the masses under the leadership of the proletarian vanguard in formation.
We in the Red League are Maoists. We know that power comes from the barrels of guns. We do not want bourgeois “democracy.” We want the dictatorship of the proletariat, socialism, and our ultimate goal is communism.
We do not want unity with the charlatans and demagogues who seek to hold back the struggle of the working class and the masses of the people in their assault on the old order. We do not want a “better” exploitative state. We want all power for the proletariat. We are the voice that says rebellion is justified.
