An armed clash took place on Wednesday in the Saranda forest of West Singhbhum in Jharkhand. The encounter took place at around 10 am in the forested stretch between Marang Ponga and Baliba villages, and left five paramilitaries in service of the old State injured.
This happens despite claims from the old State of India that Maoism has been defeated, as week after week reports are made of casualties of the armed forces and paramilitaries in service of the old State.
Despite the claims of the old State, the People’s War led by CPI (Maoist) in India has not been defeated. The Maoists carry out armed actions and deal blows to the statements and plans of the old State of India.
