On Monday morning, on the 20th of April, the US attacked and seized an Iranian container ship near the Persian Gulf. The US claims the ship was violating the Yankee-imperialist blockade, a blockade that was announced in the middle of the ongoing ceasefire.

Iran has responded by describing the attack and hijack as an act of “piracy”, and a violation of the ceasefire, and has threatened retribution. Iran said it had no plans to enter into negotiations under threats from the US, saying that there were no intentions of sending negotiators to the talks being prepared in Islamabad.

This comes after multiple attacks by the US lackey, the State of Israel on Lebanon, also in direct violation of the ongoing ceasefire, which clearly stipulates and end to aggression on all fronts in the war of aggression in Iran. Israel also announced a so-called “yellow line” in Lebanon, mirroring the tactics used in the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

The vice-minister of Foreign Affairs from Yemen stated that US imperialism must stop its threats on Iran and the peoples of the Middle East, otherwise Yemen will “close the Strait of Bab el-Mandeb, and no one will be able to reopen it”, A Nova Democracia reported.
