Chile: Anti-Imperialist Front Calls to Demonstrate on the 15th Anniversary of the Manuel Gutiérrez’s Murder
The Anti-imperialist Front (FAI) from Chile has shared the call for a demonstration on Tuesday, August 25, for the 15th anniversary of the murder of Manuel Gutiérrez. We hereby share an unofficial translation of the statement published on the Instagram account of Newspaper El Pueblo on August 22.
IT IS RIGHT TO REBEL!
AGAINST THE IMPERIALIST PLUNDER AND THE TERRORIST POLICE OF THE OLD STATE
The old State of the bourgeoisie and big landlords deepens the misery and the impoverishment of the people. The cuts in public education are a direct mandate of Yankee imperialism and its financial voracity, which uses the local bureaucratic capitalism to spoil the resources of the nation and puts the burden of the crisis on the shoulders of the people’s students and the workers.
To impose this misery, reaction is helped by their guards: the fascist police instructed under the military and genocidal doctrine of Zionism, subordinated in the service of transnational capital. They attempt to crush the popular protest with the same violence used to massacre the oppressed peoples of the world. However, the blood spilled by our fallen, like comrade Manuel Gutiérrez, who was murdered by a Zionist UZI in 2011, cannot be forgiven nor forgotten, but liquidates all reformist illusion and demands us to transform class hatred into combative organization.
We, students, will not be the cannon fodder of the financial internationalism organism nor hostages of the State repression. Education for the popular masses will only be conquered combating against imperialism and their local servants.
