China: Police Attack Commemoration of Chairman Mao in Shaoshan

On September 9, the 50th anniversary of the death of Chairman Mao was commemorated by many throughout the world. One such celebration took place in Shaoshan – the birthplace of Chairman Mao – where youth were seen upholding his legacy, holding up a flag reading “Chairman Mao’s later years are the most brilliant and correct new chapter of Marxism-Leninism,” and shouting slogans such as “Long live the working class, carry on Chairman Mao’s legacy, and see the revolution through to the end!”
Videos have surfaced of the social-imperialist State of China and its repressive forces attacking youth during this commemoration, targeting the previously mentioned flag, as reported by the X account of China Maoist Union:
