The Leading Committee of Nova Aurora (CDNA), together with the International Anti-Imperialist League – section Portugal, publicly announced the founding of a new monthly bulletin “Porcos Sem Piedade” (Translating to Pigs Without Mercy) for the purpose of denouncing abuse committed by the reactionary “security forces” of the Portuguese State.

The opening issue summarizes the most notorious cases of repression from 2026, such as the police repression against the June 3 general strike; the case of Pedro Almeida, who was stabbed near Cais do Sodré, for whom two PSP officers failed to provide assistance; the UNEF and treatment of immigrants; the Portuguese Air Force and Operation Irmandade, and the detention of an Air Force member linked to the Nazi group 1143, and far-right infiltration in the armed forces; the GNR in Palmela, and the four officers who kidnapped and assaulted three minors; and the Rato and Bairro Alto police-station case, the 24 PSP officers on trial for serious torture, sexual violence, abuse of power, and physical assaults against detainees.
