Update on Comrade Alex

Yesterday, on January 13, the trial against comrade Alex, due to his defense of Palestine, was held. At one point, he made an intervention in front of the courthouse to denounce the systematic persecution of the struggle for Palestine and the increase of the repression of the French State:

During the trial, Ligue de la Jeunesse Révolutionnaire and other forces were present in the mobilization in front of the courthouse for the defense of their comrade.

Additionally more actions in solidarity with Alex took place. In the Spanish State graffiti with the slogans “Freedom for Alex! To Defend Palestine is not a crime!” and posters appeared in Madrid and Valencia.

The newspaper Yeni Demokrasi from Turkey recently interviewed Alex:

So far there is no sentence, but it will come in the following days. The prosecutor requested a 12-month suspended prison sentence, coupled with 3 years of judicial supervision and a fine.
