The National Revolutionary Front’s Solidarity with Iran’s Just Resistance
We hereby share an unofficial translation of a statement from the National Revolutionary Front Nepal.
The National Revolutionary Front is standing in solidarity with the brutal attacks being carried out by the US and Israel on Iran.
This solidarity was expressed in a press statement issued by the coordinator of the National Revolutionary Front Nepal, Santa Bahadur Nepali, after a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Revolutionary Front Nepal held on March 16th , 2026.
The war began on February 28 (January 16) when the United States and Israel attacked Iran and assassinated Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The statement emphasizes the rescue and rehabilitation of Nepalis in countries affected by the Iran-US war. As national independence is under threat in Nepal, the unity of patriotic, democratic, progressive, leftist and revolutionary groups is emphasized. The statement demands the government to eliminate the artificial shortage created in gas and petroleum products, take action against the murderer of Inisha B.K. in Surkhet, and implement the Karki Commission report. The full text of the press statement issued by the coordinator of the front, Santa Bahadur Nepali, on 17th of March, 2026, is as follows:
“The meeting of the National Revolutionary Front Nepal’s Working Committee was held on the 16th of March, 2026, under the chairmanship of the coordinator of the front, Mr. Santa Bahadur Nepali. The meeting discussed the Iran-US war, the rescue and rehabilitation of Nepalis in warring countries, the artificial shortage of gas and petroleum products, black marketing, the murder of Inisha B.K., the Karki Commission report, the United Front among patriots, etc. This press statement has been issued to make public the decisions taken by the meeting.
1) After attacking Venezuela and kidnapping President Maduro and his wife, US imperialism, in collaboration with Israel, launched a fierce attack on Iran, assassinating its Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other high-ranking Iranian officials, as well as 175 students, thus starting a fierce war in the Middle East. In retaliation, Iran has pushed the world to the brink of World War III, and this US action has grossly violated the UN Charter, international law, treaties, and the principle of sovereignty of nations.
Along with the justice-loving people of the world, the National Revolutionary Front Nepal also strongly opposes the US-Israeli imperialism that is imposing war on Iran and strongly demands that the relevant parties immediately take diplomatic initiatives to stop this war, seek a political solution to the problem through negotiations, respect the sovereign authority of the Iranian people and nation, compensate for the losses caused by imposing war, and refrain from such genocidal attacks in the future. Our front expresses solidarity with Iran’s just and strong resistance against this extremely horrific and unjust imperialist attack.
2) The Front strongly demands that the State protect the lives of millions of Nepalis who have gone to work in various Gulf countries due to this tragic war and are in danger and are begging for help. The Front strongly demands that all possible arrangements be made as soon as possible to protect their lives and bring them back home safely, and to provide them with necessary employment in their own country.
3) Today, considering the increasing threat of foreign interference in the national sovereignty of our country and our geopolitical location, the Front specifically demands that we conclude non-aggression treaties with large and powerful neighboring countries and other nuclear power states, maintain mutually harmonious and secure relations on the basis of non-alignment, Panchasheel [Translators note: Panchasheel is the Hindi name of The Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, the official foreign relations principles of China approved in the Sino-Indian Agreement of 1954], the Charter of the United Nations, international law and the principle of sovereignty of nations, and maintain equal and friendly relations with all national communities.
4) Due to the war, prices have started to rise by creating artificial shortages of cooking gas, transportation, oil, etc., and inflation and black marketing have started to increase, affecting the people. Therefore, we strongly demand the government to strictly stop this and free the people from the situation of shortage, high prices, and insecurity.
5) Demands that the latest Gauri Bahadur Karki Commission, formed to investigate the Genji Uprising of September 8th and the destruction of September 9th, as well as the entire reports of the Rayamajhi Commission and the Mallik Commission, be made public immediately without any delay and that strict action be taken against the criminals without any hesitation, good governance be initiated, and illegal assets be investigated.
6) Demands strict and maximum action against the perpetrators of the heinous sexual crime and murder of teenager Inisha Bik in Sarkhet. Demands that all legal and other necessary measures be implemented to completely stop all types of crimes against women, including such heinous sexual crimes.
7) Focusing on the reality that the national need for all anti-imperialist patriotic, democratic, progressive, leftist and revolutionary communist forces to move forward more unitedly than before against all forms of increased external interference, the meeting once again strongly urges and calls on all parties to join the front of all forces opposing imperialism.
