Germany: Brief Report on the Commemoration for Kaypakkaya in Frankfurt

We hereby share an unofficial translation of a report published by Dem Volke Dienen on the 10th of May.

On May 9th, a rally was held in Frankfurt am Main at Rathenauplatz to commemorate Ibrahim Kaypakkaya, the founder and historical leader of the Communist Party of Turkey/Marxist-Leninist.

Partizan and the Red League had called for the rally, and approximately 60 people participated. With militant slogans such as “Önderimiz Ibrahim, Ibrahim Kaypakkaya” and “Long live international solidarity,” the participants created a positive and energetic atmosphere.

Speeches were given in German and Turkish by representatives of the Central Committee of the TKP/ML, the Red League, the International Anti-Imperialist League, and the MKP. The speeches emphasized Kaypakkaya’s fight against opportunism and revisionism. The flag of the International Anti-Imperialist League was also visible at the rally.

The program was accompanied by music. There were also information tables from Partizan and Rote Post, which were met with considerable interest from passersby. The event concluded with everyone dancing the Halay together.
