Israel Has Murdered More than 4,300 in Lebanon Since March 2nd

Since the end of July, widespread demolitions, shelling and incursions have taken place across southern Lebanon. According to local media Israeli drones have been seen flying over Beirut. Additionally, Israeli forces continue to maintain positions in several areas of southern Lebanon.
Israeli forces carried out military operations on Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th of July, including a massive targeted explosion in the southern town of Majdal Zoun on Tuesday – several homes were destroyed. At the same time Israeli forces set fire to several homes in Al-Qantara and bulldozed several homes in Kfar Shuba.
The destruction forms part of an ongoing campaign targeting villages and towns along the frontline in southern Lebanon, targeting, among others, wells, pumping stations, water towers and pipelines, attempting to make the area uninhabitable – common in the genocidal policies carried out by the State of Israel in the region.
On the 31st of July, the State of Israel intensified military operations by carrying out large-scale targeted explosions, artillery shelling, and drone overflights. Israeli occupation forces detonated large quantities of explosives in the areas of Yahmar al-Shaqif, Arnoun, and Kfar Tebnit. The attacks included the use of 700 tons of explosives targeting the Beaufort Castle, a location of cultural significance.
Between March 2nd and the end of July, the State of Israel has murdered more than 4,300 people in Lebanon, and injured 12,200 others, particularly in the south and in the Bekaa Valley. UN Human Rights Chief Volker Türk has expressed that the recent Israeli crimes against Lebanon, specifically the continuing displacement and destruction caused by them, “could amount to international crimes”.
While the Israeli attacks intensify, the Lebanese government shows its lackey character and continues the negotiations with Israel, following the orders of Yankee imperialism. As part of the crimes recently committed by the State of Israel, five Lebanese soldiers were injured on Sunday the 2nd of August, when Israeli forces carried out targeted explosions, shelling and deployed drones. The Lebanese troops were escorting civilians when they were attacked. The recent escalation and the acts of the Lebanese State make it clear that the Lebanese people and their resistance will be the one’s to defend the national sovereignty, not the lackey government.
