Warning to Tails Users: Emergency Update Fixes Critical Vulnerabilities

A new Tails 7.10.1 operating system emergency update fixes critical security vulnerabilities of the previous versions in the Linux kernel and the expat XML library.

These vulnerabilities can allow access, through Tor Browser, to gain administrator privileges. This could, in worst case scenario, mean deanonymization of the user by a government or a hacking firm.

We recommend all Tails users to update their operating system.
