The struggle for Palestine continues

On its 139th day the recent Israeli genocide-campaign against the people of Palestine has caused a total of more than 30,000 dead, 70,000 wounded and around 10,000 missing. We reported previously and will continue to do so.

Despising the Israeli terror the people of Palestine resists as it has done for decades. Near Jerusalem an attack was carried out which left one Israeli dead and five wounded. An action that once more proved that there is no save haven for the occupiers.

Today Yemen has again hit an English ship in the Gulf of Aden, as media reports. The ship was supposedly en route to Egypt. Yesterday Yemen has directly attack a US-warship for the first time. These actions show the impotence of the Yankee-led aggression against Yemen, a fate the war declared by the European Union against Yemen will share.

Yesterday one Yankee politician clearly expressed their stance towards the genocide, stating regarding the slaughtered children of Gaza: We should kill them all.

Far from being vanished the Palestinian resistance stands strong, also with SAM missiles in the sky over Gaza:

Hezbollah announced: The fighters of the Islamic Resistance, at 5:05 PM on Wednesday, 21-02-2024, targeted a military position of Israeli enemy soldiers in the Avivim settlement with the appropriate weapons, killing and wounding them.” The organization carried out more than a dozen attacks on Wednesday. The day before a video footage was published which shows a similar attack:

As media report, Egypt has begun building an enclosed area ringed with seven-meter-high concrete walls – obviously a concentration camp – along its border with Gaza that appears intended to house Palestinians fleeing the city of Rafah.

Estimated 1.7 million people are internally displaced in the Gaza Strip and, according to the UN, most of them pushed south, with more than a million into Rafah. Making up a total of some 1.5 million people in the city that Israeli war cabinet member Benny Gantz has recently threatened to be scrambled, unless Hamas releases the captives, by an offensive launched March 10th, the beginning of Ramadan. Gantz openly admitted that this will be done in coordination with Egypt.

Internationally the protests in support of the Palestinian resistance continue. In Bochum, Germany, the Red League North Rhine-Westphalia organized the first in a series of events of the Open Palestine Meeting, in which over a hundred people participated, listened to lectures, presented cultural contributions, ate Palestinian food together and discussed together. The report says: “At times there were so many people that although we were standing and sitting on the floor, participants no longer fit into the ‘Neuland’, waited in front of the door or, unfortunately, some of them left.” and a “comrade gave a twenty-minute lecture on the topic of the resistance struggle in Palestine. It dealt with the different facets of the struggle, from various expressions of resistance in culture such as murals, anti-imperialist music and films, to mass demonstrations and land invasions, to resistance to the settlement policies by the poor peasants. Particular emphasis was placed on the role of the armed resistance struggle. It was emphasized that the resistance of the people of Palestine against its occupiers, i.e., against the State of Israel, and the imperialists behind it, first and foremost US imperialism, is justified. But also the role of the Federal Republic of Germany as a supplier of weapons for the genocide was made clear and in particular it was emphasized that the oppressed nations and peoples of the world have every right to choose their own forms of struggle, leadership and organization and that any deviating position from this is imperialist chauvinism. Again and again, the lecture was met with applause and very militant slogans from the audience such as “Free Free Palestine! Free Free Gaza!” or “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!””

The “Challenge Handling” logistics company, located at the airport in Liège, Belgium, transports military equipment to Israel. As Avrupa Haber reports titling „Belgium’s Complicity and Hypocritical Policy Condemned!“ masses gathered in front of the company on Sunday, February 18, in the afternoon following the call of the Liège-Palestine Solidarity Collective, the Left student union, the Communist workers union, the Rosa Kolektif and Partizan. The logistics company targeted by the protest provides air cargo transportation between Israel and Europe via Wallonia airport. In addition to the demand for a full embargo on military equipment sent to Israel, the action also targets the passage of military equipment and weapons, especially from the USA to Israel. In a speech a speaker called on Challenge Handing workers to refuse to carry military equipment. The speech was frequently interrupted by chanting slogans and the crowd supported the speaker by saying in unison that the Belgian government has blood on its hands and is profiting from the deaths of oppressed people.

In London, England, a large crowd of protesters gathered outside Parliament on Wednesday urging the Members of Parliament to vote for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza as they debated a motion in the House of Commons. The rally of thousands frightened the Parliament, as the Speaker Lindsay Hoyle expressed: “I am very, very concerned about the security of all Members. I was very concerned, I am still concerned, and that is why the meetings I have had today were about the security of Members, their families and the people involved.”

In Oslo the demonstrations for Palestine have continued in front of the USA Embassy, were the Struggle Committee (Kamp Komiteen) participated. As they report: “The police were heavily present with personnel and equipment to defend US imperialism and the US embassy. Police fences and barricades had been set up so that the demonstration was prevented from getting close to the embassy.”
