CASR STRONGLY CONDEMNS THE BRUTAL ISLAMOPHOBIC CRIME BY MADHYA PRADESH GOVERNMENT IN THE NAME OF NATIONAL SECURITY ACT (NSA) AGAINST THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY FOR COW SLAUGHTERING
On 23 June Madhya Pradesh government invoked NSA Against Wahid khan and Shadab khan three other individuals were also arrested under other charges. The question of persecution Muslims in the name of national security is not new. But after the hindutva fascist regime came into power, Indian state has used every means to suppress Muslims and ensure that a lesson is taught to the minority community that there is no space for Muslims in this country, they only live on the mercy of the majority, they don’t not do anything independently. If they practice their own culture they face brutal consequences. After this incident Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav gave the statement and declared this as “Brutal massacres”. But on the other side Dalit, Adivasi, Muslim and other oppressed sections of society face everyday state sponsored massacre along with Hindutva vigilantes groups. Everyday on road and now inside the homes Muslim lynching has happened but Indian state does not consider it as a heinous crime. The government representatives did not give any statement when the question of cow slaughter came up. The PM to CM came and gave a statement and took action against innocent people of the country. In the Bastar Adivasi area, the Indian state is waging war against its own people. Everyday brutal massacres of Adivasis by Indian security forces are being committed in the name of Maoist suspicion. This clearly indicates that the value of human life is less than that of animals.
Campaign Against State Repression strongly condemns the Madhya Pradesh government action against Wahid khan and Shadab khan and demands immediate revocation of NSA and the release of these members of the minority community. We urge all progressive sections of society and justice Loving people to come together and condemn this barbaric action in the name of national security and build a movement Against to repeal all the Draconian law.
