Acts of solidarity with the People’s War in India
As part of the “Week of Struggle Against Kagaar Operation from 7 to 15 July”, called upon of Partizan, demonstrations were held across Europe.
The People’s War, which is lead and waged under the leadership of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) for 50 years, has been subjected to a new attack of destruction. In January 2024, the Indian state launched another annihilation campaign called “Kagaar” („last war“) against the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA), the CPI (Maoist) and the native advasi people. For 6 months, it carried out a series of massacres against the people, guerrilla forces and democratic movements. Indian reaction has conducted massacres, from 6-month-old babies to 60-year-olds.
Rallies were held to protest these massacres. The attacks of the reactionary old Indian State were exposed in the protests. In a press release, especially the attacks of the reactionary Indian state against the Maoists and the indigenous people were exposed. It was mentioned that the resistance and the war of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) against these attacks continues. It was emphasized that the attacks of the reactionary Indian state are unsuccessful.
“It is known that every reactionary regime faced with guerrilla struggles and rebellions, from the Philippines to Peru, from Turkey to Nepal, from Mexico to Colombia and Zionist Israel, massacres unarmed people and presents them as resistance fighters and guerrillas. Helpless against the guerrilla forces, the massacring states aim to ‘drain the swamp’, that is, to intimidate the people and tear them away from their living spaces in order to prevent the guerrillas from uniting with the people. Now Indian reactionism is once again focused on this target with the Operation Kagaar.”
Austria, Vienna:
On July 12, a protest was carried out by Partizan and Rote Fahne Österreich in front of the Indian Consulate in Vienna. Friends of the Filipino People in Struggle and KOMintern also supported the action.
Austria, Innsbruck:
On July 13, Partisan , Class Theory and Antifa Innsbruck set up an info stand.
Switzerland, Bern:
On July 13, a protest was carried out in front of the Indian Consulate by Partizan, AGEB and İTİF. MLKP and SYKP supported the action.
France, Strasbourg:
On July 13, Partizan and the League of Young Revolutionaries (LJR) held a demonstration in front of the European Council in Strasbourg. The protests were completed successfully with the slogans “Long Live International Solidarity”, “Long Live the People’s War”, “Down with Imperialism, Capitalism and All Reaction”.
Germany, Frankfurt:
In front of the Indian Consulate in Frankfurt, the crowd mobilized by Partizan and the Red League chanted continuously “Stop the Massacres in India!”, “Lal Salaam!” The action started at early noon, speeches were held in German and Turkish. It was pointed out that the old Indian State had murdered hundreds of people with the “Operation Kagaar” it recently launched, and it was stated that the ongoing People’s War in India is justified and legitimate. Support to the people’s liberation struggles against imperialism and world reaction were expressed. In a speech it was said: “We salute the People’s War and revolutionary struggle of the CPI (Maoist), the sister organization of our party TKP/ML, with the spirit of proletarian international solidarity, and condemn the massacres of the fascist Indian state!” The action attracted the attention of passers-by and drivers in traffic.
