Spain: Revolutionary Committees are born

We publish an unofficial translation of the announcement by Servir al Pueblo from Spanish State.

We are happy to announce that the Revolutionary Committees are born. The Revolutionary Committee of Albacete had existed for some time and had been working with the deepest and broadest masses of the city and carrying out different internationalist activities. In a recent announcement published on the Revolutionary Committees website, it appears that the Madrid Revolutionary Committee now also exists. We reproduce in full the Declaration of Principles that have been published by:

“The Revolutionary Committees of Madrid and Albacete, gathered with the firm decision to struggle against hunger, misery, exploitation and all the evils that imperialism causes to the international proletariat and the people of the world, we solemnly declare that we will struggle together against the imperialist system. And for this will, we make known the political principles that will guide our work by making public the following

Declaration of Principles

1) We apply the slogans: “It is right to rebel” and “Serve the people”. It is right to rebel against imperialism that causes misery, hunger, exploitation and a thousand situations of injustice. “Marxism is a thousand truths concentrated in one: It is right to rebel!” We serve the people, because we come from them and we struggle for them. We uphold revolutionary optimism, rejecting demoralization and majority defeatism in mass movements. Imperialism is in crisis and the proletariat must organize to destroy it. Dare to struggle, dare to win!

2) We reject the electoral farce. We reject participation, directly and indirectly, in bourgeois elections that only serve to legitimize the next bourgeois leader who will manage the Spanish imperialist State. We apply boycott and struggle to extend it to all mass movements.

3) We struggle against imperialism. We struggle against Spanish imperialism, the main enemy of the Spanish proletariat and people, and against Yankee imperialism, the main enemy of the people of the world. We struggle against social chauvinism, socialists in word and imperialist chauvinists in deed. We struggle against the lackeys and the hand-washers of any imperialism. We struggle against warmongering, militarism and unjust wars. We support the liberation struggles of oppressed nations against imperialism and its lackeys, especially where Spanish imperialism operates: Latin America and Africa.

4) We defend the rights of the proletariat. We contribute to the organization and struggle of the proletariat to the extent of our possibilities. We support the struggles of the proletariat against any form of oppression by the imperialist system. We struggle for class unity and to expel social democracy from the ranks of the proletariat. We repudiate the betrayal of the labor aristocracy in all its forms, especially the calls for social peace propagated by social democracy and yellow union bureaucratism. We support the struggles against patriarchy and against all forms of patriarchal violence against proletarian women. We defend, apply and uphold proletarian feminism.

5) We defend democratic rights and freedoms. We denounce the militarization of the Spanish State, the increase in repression of the proletariat, police violence, police infiltrations in mass movements, abuse and torture in police stations and prisons. We defend the right to information, freedom of expression and freedom of press. We struggle against racism and any kind of discrimination based on nationality, religion, sexual orientation or any other kind of discrimination against the proletariat, especially that exercised against the poor masses from nations oppressed by imperialism. We defend the right of self-determination of the nations within the Spanish State: Catalonia, Euskadi and Galiza. We support the release of all political prisoners.
