Republican activists in Galway have been on the streets to oppose the extradition of Sean Walsh, an Irish Republican held by the Free State for 3 years in Portlaoise prison at the behest of MI5, who want to extradite him to the Occupied Six counties where he faces torture.
We previously reported on the continuous struggle against extradition of republicans into the hands of British imperialism. Therein we upheld the slogan by AIA Ireland: STOP THE EXTRADITION OF ALL IRISH REPUBLICANS NOW!
Sean Walsh faces deportation as part of the MI5 led ‘Operation Arbacia’. The agency directs this operation against the New IRA and the Continuity IRA. Eight men and two women were incarcerated in 2020, accused of a total of 39 cases as directing a “terrorist organisation”, belonging to a banned organization, preparing “terrorist acts”, conspiring to “direct terrorism” and possessing articles for “use in terrorism”. Anyway, what the British intelligence “discovered” is broadly acknowledged as “republican pub talk” or a “pie in the sky waffle”. The case is heard at the occupations Belfast Crown Court.
