Israeli bombardments on the southern suburbs of Beirut continue. Many Lebanese areas are being targeted. Lebanon’s Health Ministry states more than 2,000 people have been murdered so far in Israel’s attacks across the country, including 127 children. There are several reports which prove that the State of Israel continues targeting civil defense and rescue teams which are working in the bombed residential areas.
Dozens of Israeli air raids targeted residential areas in Mrayjeh, being so powerful the blasts that could be heard in Sidon and Tyre, far away from the Beirut. The strikes occurred close to the Beirut International Airport, in a very densely populated residential neighborhood. More bombings were carried out in other areas, for example in Hadath. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are stating they are targeting the Hezbollah’s headquarters and trying to kill its new leadership. But the reports are about dozens of tons of bombs being dropped on very densely populated areas, which one again constitute a crime.
The IDF use the same criteria as they used in Dahiyeh to target all the neighborhoods in Beirut, which shows their genocidal methods and their continuous crimes. This has been explained by the Israeli high rank military officers themselves, showing shamelessly how they apply war crimes as a main method of war: “What happened in the Dahiya quarter of Beirut in 2006 will happen in every village from which Israel is fired on. . . . We will apply disproportionate force on it and cause great damage and destruction there. From our standpoint, these are not civilian villages, they are military bases. . . . This is not a recommendation. This is a plan. And it has been approved.” This was stated by Major General Gadi Eizenkot, who has been deputy chief of staff of the IDF. But as it was shown after the Israeli failure in 2006, after they bombed Dahiyeh, the Lebanese resistance and people were not defeated but pursued in their struggle. As it will happen also after these criminal bombardments there. Even the UN has stated very clearly that Israel has breached the international law by carrying out a ground invasion in violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Reportedly the IDF are targeting the vicinity of the Lebanese Masnaa border crossing, causing the closure of the Lebanese-Syrian border.
This constitutes once more a heinous crime by the State of Israel which is preventing hundreds of thousands of people to attempt to flee from Lebanon to Syria. So far more than 300,000 people – mostly Syrian refugees – crossed from Lebanon into Syria over the last 10 days. These multiple crimes against refugees have been also carried out against Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. Today morning, the Beddawi refugee camp has been targeted by an Israeli airstrike, murdering at least four people.
Meanwhile Yankee imperialism tries to wash its image and the US government has announced that will provide nearly $157 million in “new humanitarian assistance to support populations affected by conflict in Lebanon and the region”. The US President Joe Biden has warned Israel against striking Iran’s oil facilities, but advised Israel to think “about other alternatives”.
Local Lebanese media reports the following information: “Hezbollah announced Saturday that its fighters repelled an Israeli infantry force attempting to advance toward the area surrounding the municipality in Odeisseh. According to Hezbollah, its fighters engaged the Israeli soldiers, resulting in a large explosion, forcing them to retreat and causing casualties and injuries among the Israeli forces.”
The Lebanese resistance has been also carrying out several operations against Israeli targets, according to Israeli military, more than 100 rockets were launched from Lebanon towards Israeli troops. For example the Eliakim camp and the Neve Ziv military base of the Israeli army in northern occupied Palestine:
The Lebanese resistance has been targeting illegal Israeli settlements at the border between Lebanon and the State of Israel:
Other resistance organizations from Middle East are also pursuing in their actions against the State of Israel and Yankee imperialism, in solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon. The US military base of Dier ez-Zur, Syria, has been targeted with missiles and drones. The resistance forces from Iraq launched a drone to the Israeli troops which occupy Golan Heights, causing 26 casualties, two eliminated soldiers and other 24 injured, according to the IDFs themselves. According to Palestine Chronicle: “The group declared the strikes were part of their ongoing resistance against the occupation and in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese people, in response to the massacres committed by Israel against civilians, including women, children, and the elderly.”
Moreover the Iraqi resistance has launched more drone attacks on Friday, carrying out at least 3 military operations.
Yankee imperialism and British imperialism have attacked yesterday several targets in Yemen. The UK government has denied these accusations, attempting to wash their image. Yemeni media reports on four strikes hit the Al-Siyanah miliary camp at the north of Sanaa, as well as four strikes more in the west of Hodeidah city, several more in Dhamar, south of Sanaa. After that, the government spokesperson condemned the attacks by imperialism, labeled them as a “desperate attempt” to intimidate Yemeni people, and vowed to continue resisting.
