Germany – Stuttgart: Report on the Event “Presentation of the Anti-imperialist League”

We share an unofficial translation of the report published by Dem Volke Dienen.

On November 3, a presentation of the AIL took place in Stuttgart. The event was mainly attended by comrades from the Turkish revolutionary movement. But we are happy to announce that also some comrades of the anti-fascist and anti-militarist movement in Germany came to the meeting.

At the beginning of the presentation, all the attendants were asked to join a moment of silence for the revolutionary who fell in combat, which was ended with the words “the ones who died in combat continue to live in our struggle.”

Afterwards, there was a speech on the base of the join meeting and the objective of the AIL in Turkish and German by a Partizan comrade. After these introductory words, a video on the development of the class struggle in the four countries, which are part of the Coordination Committee, was displayed, supplementing this with scenes of some international actions. Afterwards a joint presentation, where the ideological-political base, principles and objectives of the AIL were explained, was held by Partizan and the Red League.

In the following of this presentation, a discussion developed on the meaning of the different struggles of national liberation and the organization principles of the AIL – whose foundation was explicitly welcomed by many comrades. Further, a conversation with comrades on which kind of perspective there is for the forces that basically support the politics of the AIL, but cannot act as part of the organization, took place. It was highlighted the possibility for joint activities on a basic unity.
