Luiz Inácio da Silva congratulates on “nazism with other face”
“My congratulations to President Donald Trump on his electoral victory and return to the presidency of the United States.” These were the congratulations from the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio da Silva, to the recently elected president of United States. But these declarations are contradictory with the ones he himself made only a few days ago, when he stated that the, then, come back of Donald Trump to the presidency was “nazism with another face”, however, now he made a 180º turn and stated that Trump’s election is “the voice of the people” and that “it should be respected.”
As the democratic newspaper A Nova Democracia reports, the change of speech by the president of Brazil is, again, consequence of the electoral strategy for his own campaign for the upcoming 2026 elections. Even though one week ago he followed the demagogic path trying to seem “left”, falsely, now he has no other option he shows himself as “open for dialogue” even with the one he had said of he was fascist. Because even if he presents himself different, Lula mainly is a server of imperialism, mainly Yankee, and seeks to keep the stance of Brazil as part of the semi-colonial and semi-feudal servitude, no matter who is the new elected.
However this obvious contradiction between his statements has shown once again that to gain votes he will use political verbiage of the false left, because whenever they are needed, he will apply the measures that imperialism, mainly Yankee, demands from him. This has been the experience in his own government, where he, even though it being led by him, does not hesitate to take the measures of the so-called “center” as his own and to execute them to keep himself in presidency of the Brazilian State.
For example, we have previously reported on the Proposed Constitutional Amendment (PEC) which favores the militarization of the country, also in the countryside, and carries out the model which Bolsonaro previously applied during his government, which the PT, when it was in the opposition, criticized harshly; now they apply and encourage it.
