Valencia: 31 police officers injured and 4 arrested in a powerful and massive demonstration
We publish an unofficial translation of an article by Servir al Pueblo from the Spanish State.
Tens of thousands of people went to the streets on November 9th to denounce the murderous and criminal management of the imperialist State of the DANA that devastated the towns of Horta Sud (Translator’s note: the most affected region from DANA, southern Valencia). According to official State sources, the number of people at the demonstration was of 130,000, so it is surely much more. From southern towns, marches joined to the demonstration.
The demonstration was massive.
The police attacked the demonstration to defend the entrance of the City Hall and also the Palau de la Generalitat (Translator’s note: Regional Government building). According to police sources – confirmed by the media “El Salto Diario” and Agencia EFE –, there are about 31 police officers injured and at least four protesters detained. From Servir al Pueblo we stand in solidarity with the detainees and call for actions for their release.
Flags of the International Communist League (ICL) and the Anti-Imperialist League (AIL) were seen at the demonstration.
