We hereby share an unofficial translation of the Mexican part of the recent Weekly Newsletter published by Sol Rojo Mexico.
On November 23 and 24, the 2nd National Meeting of Collectives for New Democracy was held in Sierra Sur, Oaxaca, a political-cultural event that has brought together comrades from various regions for two consecutive years around the program of the New Democratic Revolution. The Current of the People – Red Sun has been part of the organizing groups; we will soon be sharing precise information about this. Also in Oaxaca, on November 24 and 25, the Internationalist Work Day for Justice is taking place in Eloxochitlán de Flores Magón, in the Sierra Mazateca; this is an anarchist event in solidarity with the political prisoners of that community who have fought against the brutal caciquism (translator’s note: system where a big landlord which has the political control of the area) of Manuel Zepeda and his daughter Eliza Zepeda. Regarding both events and their significance, our spokesperson has said: “What great joy to know that almost simultaneously the mountains of Oaxaca are hosting two events so important for the revolutionary struggle of the exploited and oppressed! What great joy to know that, above ideological differences, both activities, the 2nd National Meeting of Collectives for the New Democracy and the Internationalist Work Day for Justice, greet each other calling each other: comrades!” As the Mejía Godoy brothers (revolutionary Nicaraguan musicians and songwriters; translator’s note) said… “in the revolutionary mountain, everything is there.” For the unity and struggle of the resisting peoples. Long live the 2nd National Meeting of Collectives for the New Democracy! Long live the Internationalist Work Day for Justice!
