In Mexico, the People’s Women’s Movement called for a mobilization on November 25 and emphasized the importance of the organization of the women of the people. “The women of the people must reclaim the true meaning of November 25 as a day of struggle not only against patriarchal or gender violence but also against colonialism and the oppression that the classes in power exert over the peoples and certainly, over the women of the people.”

In a manifesto, the MFP also stated: “Today, as the peoples of the world feel the colonial aggression of imperialism, particularly in Palestine and Lebanon where the invading Zionist army perpetrates massacres against the people and war crimes—including the rape of women and children as a means to demoralize the resisting peoples—; today, as Yankee imperialism further fuels the flames of war in Eastern Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, and prepares the militarization of the southern border with Mexico, forcing the old Mexican State to maintain the war against the people and to act as its border police, pursuing and repressing our migrant brothers and sisters—placing women and girls at high risk of being kidnapped, sexually enslaved, or murdered by organized crime and warlords—it is essential that the women of the people remember that patriarchal violence has a class stamp and that we primarily suffer from it, the workers, the peasants, and the indigenous women; that patriarchal violence is reinforced by the colonialism that weighs upon our peoples… we women must merge with the proletariat and the working people to unleash the popular storm of the New Democratic Revolution.” Proletarian Feminism destroys patriarchy!
