CURRENT SITUATION: NOTES ON THE WORLD CRISIS (31. The armed struggle of national resistance wins a great victory in Lebanon)
Today’s Israel’s withdrawal is a great victory not only for Hezbollah but for the Lebanese nation, the armed struggle of national resistance in Palestine and the NLM1 of the GME2 as a whole.
The continuous defeats on the battlefield of the Yankee imperialists and their shock troops of the army of the Zionist State of Israel inflicted by the national resistance of Lebanon, led by Hezbollah and, mainly, by the national resistance of the Palestinian nation in Gaza and the West Bank, which, despite the barbaric genocide, is rising with increasing force, crushing the imperialist-Zionist plans, threatening them with a greater defeat and in the face of the protests of the peoples of the world, forced the government of the genocidal Biden and the government of the genocidal Netanyahu to negotiate a ceasefire with the national resistance of Lebanon, through Macron, with the Lebanese government and, later, to formalize it directly with the Yankee foreign representative, Blinken. Ceasefire for a withdrawal that guarantees the withdrawal of Israeli troops behind its borders, the return of Zionist settlers to the north of occupied Palestine by Israel and the control of a buffer zone between the borders of Lebanon and Israel up to the Litani River, which would remain under the control of the Lebanese army and the UN “blue helmets” and Hezbollah withdraws to the other side of the Litani River. In other words, a buffer zone as in the previous agreements.
We say, Hezbollah reaffirms at the negotiating table, once again, what it won on the battlefield, its legitimacy as an armed national resistance movement against an invading force, that of the Zionist army of Israel behind which is the US Military Command. Hezbollah once again validates, with weapons in hand and the support of the Lebanese, Arab and other masses of the GME and the whole world, its status as a defender of the sovereignty of Lebanon and a heroic fighter of the armed national liberation movement against imperialism and Zionism in the region, crushing the plans to extend imperialist-Zionist colonial domination to Lebanon. It is a hard blow to the plans of US imperialism for its hegemony in the region, as well as to its protectorate, the Zionist State of Israel, the colonial power over occupied Palestine.
For its part, the armed national resistance movement of the Palestinians, through Hamas, according to CNN: “said on Wednesday that it is committed to cooperating with “any effort” to achieve a truce in Gaza after the ceasefire reached in Lebanon.”While we follow the evolution of this agreement in Lebanon, we as Hamas express our commitment to cooperate with any effort to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza,” declared the Palestinian militant group.”
“We are focused on stopping the aggression against our people, based on the conditions we have agreed upon at the national level: the cessation of the aggression on Gaza, the withdrawal of the occupation forces, the return of displaced persons and the conclusion of a comprehensive and real prisoner exchange agreement,” he added. Hamas praised what it called the “fundamental role” played by Hezbollah in supporting Gaza and highlighted “the great sacrifices made by Hezbollah and its leaders,” in particular the group’s former leader, Hassan Nasrallah, killed in an Israeli airstrike in southern Beirut on September 27.
The agreement “marks an important milestone in shattering (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu’s illusions of redrawing the map of the Middle East by force, as well as his illusions of defeating the resistance or disarming it,” Hamas added. Iran welcomed the ceasefire between Israel and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.
According to CNN itself: “Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei “welcomed the news of the cessation of the Israeli attack on Lebanon,” and said that Iran called for an end to Israel’s wars in both Lebanon and Gaza over the past 14 months.
“The Palestinian and Lebanese resistance is more determined than ever to defend the legitimate rights of the Palestinian and Lebanese people.”
Baqaei also referred to the International Criminal Court’s decision to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant last Thursday.
“World public opinion, which called for an end to the war and genocide over the past 14 months, now awaits the prosecution and punishment of the criminals of the occupation regime.”
A further assessment of the ceasefire in the liberation war in this country and its repercussions with respect to the one being fought mainly in Palestine and, also, its effect on Iran, is not possible, for the moment, to say what its immediate and medium-term effects will be.
We only know that the struggle will be long and hard. That the armed struggle of national resistance in the GME has been reignited, in this hot zone of the international situation, with the great action of the Palestinian armed national resistance movement on October 7, 2023, which shows that we are in the strategic offensive of the world revolution, within the period of 50 to 100 years in which imperialism and reaction will be swept from the face of the earth by the world revolution, through the World People’s War. The development of the armed struggle of the national liberation movement in that region shows the powerful development of the new great wave of the Proletarian World Revolution and the need, to guarantee its victorious development, for the reconstitution or constitution of the Marxist-Leninist-Maoist Communist Parties of a new type, militarized to initiate and direct new People’s Wars and to transform all armed struggles of national resistance or of any other type that the peoples wage into People’s War to make the revolution and be prepared for all circumstances to come.
