Revolutionary Area Renato Nathan retaken
The Revolutionary Area Renato Nathan published in its social media account that the works to retake the lands that peasants occupy since 2008 have started. Peasants of Lajeiro were expelled in October after a vengeance attack by the Military Police (MP) and goons, at the service of latifundium, after the humiliation they suffered in the Battle of Barro Branco.
A Nova Democracia has published some updates. According to the peasants organized by the League of Poor Peasants (LCP), MP attempted to invade the camp to expel the occupiers. Peasants set up a barricade and prevented the invasion. Military Police ran away.
The Revolutionary Area has started its re-construction works, in addition to the daily land works of the peasants. A banner for Zumbi dos Palmares was also set up.
