Anti-imperialist events in Europe.

On Sunday, an event took place in Innsbruck, Austria, under the slogan “Forwards in the construction of the Anti-Imperialist League!”. Close to 40 people attended the presentation by the Action for Democratic Rights of the People (ADRV) and Partizan, opening with a minute of silence for the Indian revolutionary G.N. Saibaba and all the combatants of the revolutionary and anti-imperialist movement that died in in struggle. The AIL was presented to the audience, and some issues of the fundamental documents were argued in connection to the struggle in Palestine.

In the past two weeks, several anti-imperialist events that Roter Bund (Red League) had mobilized for took place in Germany. On November 21, a presentation was held in Hamburg about the class struggle in Turkey, dealing a.o. with the history of the TKP/ML. Partizan also participated.

The next day, Roter Bund Bremen hosted an event for Georges Ibrahim Abdallah. The presentation also approached the court decision from November 15 and emphasized that his release can only be achieved by strengthening the mobilization.

On November 24, an event about the poor peasants’ struggles in Mexico, Ecuador and Brazil took place in Leipzig. For the respective countries, the struggle against the Inter-oceanic Corridor, the Mining-Free Zone in Buenos Aires, Imbabura, and the work developed by the League of Poor Peasants (LCP) were presented.

On November 30, an event on the struggle for land in Brazil, took place in Helsinki. The event started with a presentation on the peasants’ victorious resistance against the old Brazilian State and the big landlords. Afterwards “Conquistar a Terra” was sung and a flag of the League of Poor Peasants was made.
