FDLP-EC: IMPERIALISM AND THE SWORD OF DAMOCLES

We share an unofficial translation of an article published by the Front to Defend the Struggles of the People of Ecuador (FDLP-EC).

They entered Afghanistan and lost. They left with their tails between their legs! They changed course. They went to undermine and turn Iraq into a bloodbath; however, to this day they have not been able to consolidate political positions in their favor due to the open and military resistance posed by the Popular Mobilization Forces, which, after all, are much more than “a thorn in the side” for Yankee imperialism and the nefarious Zionism.

The U.S. has openly supported the criminal aggression against Gaza by Israel; now they cannot extricate themselves from the quagmire. They barely maintain their external lines under very difficult conditions, with a worn-out Zionist army, morale in decline, and collecting dead caused by a resistance forged in combat and resistance. What they have half-achieved is to hold on to a land completely devastated in its infrastructure, with nearly 50,000 victims, the entire strip destroyed; nevertheless, victory eludes them.

Not satisfied with their savagery, they went to Lebanon. They hit a wall. They had to put a stop to it, they know it is becoming another Afghanistan, or perhaps another Vietnam; or something worse.

They have attacked Yemen. They do not go beyond where they have gone. They know that Afghanistan is a walk in the park compared to Yemen, particularly with the Houthis in front of them.

They became embroiled in an inter-imperialist struggle with Russia using Ukrainian soil. A predicament that has us on the brink of World War III.

Now they are turning back to Syria. They activated their mercenaries and have managed to control the country. Everything points to getting as close as possible to Iran and Russia.

This is what it is, this is what they have turned the countries of the third world into. An experimental center to measure forces, to compare armaments, to deploy strategic plans, to seize resources and subjugate peoples who, beyond the lack of armed forces, military equipment, and technology, have what imperialism does not know: dignity, will, but above all, the sufficient historical motivations to unwaveringly sustain a just war that cannot be defeated by anyone.

The drums of World War III are beating louder. Today the operational arena is the countries of the third world. Is that enough for them? No! Impossible! They will find themselves vanquished despite the bloodshed and devastation they leave behind.

Armament decides nothing. Just look at everything Israel employs in Gaza and Lebanon, modern weapons, support from Europe and obviously from the U.S. They murder people, destroy, but they stagnate, they are worthless, they are butchers. They, imperialism and Zionism, believe that war is won with ballistic missiles, money, men, technology, and other trinkets. War is won on the basis of principles. We have said it, the issue revolves around the nature of the war, whether it is just or not. That delineates the final results.

The countries currently militarily attacked are part of the third world; that particularity connects us, unites us, and definitely commits us to join efforts in the anti-imperialist struggle.

That blood of Gaza smells of melted dust, olive, saffron, and poppy; it smells of victory, and as comrades from Peru say – of gunpowder and dynamite, damn it, gunpowder and dynamite, damn it.

EL IMPERIALISMO Y LA ESPADA DE DAMOCLES

Se metieron en Afganistán y perdieron. ¡Salieron con el rabo entre las patas! Mudaron de rumbo. Fueron a minar y convertir en un vertedero de sangre en Irak; sin embargo, hasta la fecha no han podido consolidar posiciones políticas a su favor por la resistencia planteada abierta y militarmente por las Fuerzas de Movilización Popular que, en fin de cuentas, son mucho más que “una piedra en el zapato” para el imperialismo yanqui y el sionismo patibulario.

Los EEUU han apoyado abiertamente la criminal agresión a Gaza por parte de Israel; ahora no pueden salir del atolladero. A duras penas mantienen sus líneas exteriores en condiciones muy difíciles, con un ejército sionista desgastado, con la moral entre las pesuñas y recogiendo muertos provocados por una resistencia forjada en eso, en combatir y resistir. Lo que han conseguido a medias es sostenerse sobre una tierra totalmente arrasada en su infraestructura, cerca de 50.000 víctimas, toda la franja destruida; no obstante, la victoria les es esquiva.

No hartos de su sevicia, se fueron por Líbano. Se dieron con la piedra en el hocico. Tuvieron que poner un alto, detenerse, saben que se les vuelve otro Afganistán, o quizá, otro Vietnam; o algo peor.

Han agredido a Yemen. No van más allá de donde han ido. Saben que Afganistán es un paseo con relación a Yemen, particularmente, teniendo al frente a los Hutíes.

Se enfrascaron en una lucha Interimperialista con Rusia utilizando suelo ucraniano. Un aprieto que nos tiene al borde la tercera guerra mundial.

Ahora vuelven sobre Siria. Activaron sus mercenarios y han logrado controlar el país. Todo apunta a acercarse lo más posible a Irán y Rusia.

Es lo que hay, es en lo que han convertido a los países del tercer mundo. Un centro experimental para medir fuerzas, para cotejar armamentos, paras desplegar planes estratégicos, apoderarse de recursos y someter a pueblos que más allá de la inexistencia de fuerzas armadas, equipamiento militar, tecnología, tiene lo que el imperialismo no conoce: dignidad, voluntad, pero, sobre todo, las suficientes motivaciones históricas pasar sostener inclaudicablemente una guerra justa incapaz de ser derrotada por nadie.

Redoblan los tambores de la Tercera Guerra Mundial. Hoy el teatro operacional son los países del tercer mundo. ¿Les alcanza con eso?, ¡no!, ¡Imposible!, saldrán derrotados más allá del reguero y sangre y destrucción que dejen en el camino.

El armamento no lo decide nada. Solo miremos todo lo que emplea Israel en Gaza y Líbano, armas modernas, apoyo de Europa y obviamente de los EUU. Matan gente, destruyen, pero se estancan, valen mierda, son unos carniceros. Ellos, el imperialismo y el sionismo creen que la guerra se gana con misiles balísticos, dinero, hombres, tecnología y otras chucherías más. La guerra se gana sobre la base de los principios. Lo hemos dicho, el tema pasa por el carácter de la guerra, si son justas o no. Eso delimita los resultados finales.

Los países hoy agredidos militarmente, son parte del tercer mundo, nos vincula esa particularidad, nos hermana y, definitivamente, nos compromete en aunar esfuerzos en la lucha antiimperialista.

Esa sangre gazatí huele a polvo derretido, a olivo, a sausan y amapola; huele a victoria, y como lo dicen los camaradas del Perú; a pólvora y dinamita, carajo, a pólvora y dinamita, carajo.
