Paris, France: Call to the national demonstration on February 8 for Georges Abdallah
We hereby share an unofficial translation of the call made by the Unitary Campaign for Georges Ibrahim Abdallah (CUPLGIA) for the demonstration of tomorrow. We already reported on this call and more actions, but now we translate it as a whole. Also the place of start has been changed.

On February 20, Georges Abdallah has to be released!
It is together and only together that we will win! At a time when, on November 15, the Paris Sentencing Court wrote a new historic page of this “Georges Abdallah affair” by ordering the release of this exceptional prisoner, the time to win and to recover permanently our comrade from “these sinister places” and to this barbarism that is life prison which he has faced for more than 40 years now, has actually come.
The time to win has come, so that the rendering of the Appealing Court of next February 20 is final for the effective liberation of our comrade!
The time to win has come because more than ever it is together that we struggle by amplifying, intensifying and always coordinating our mobilization, in the diversity of our expressions, everywhere in France and internationally, to make a sole voice in our cities, in our neighborhoods, in our universities our unwavering determination to free Georges Abdallah!
The time to win has come, Comrades, because as Georges Abdallah himself says, all of us, supporters of the Palestinian people and its heroic resistance, we must be “worthy of the epic of these torches of freedom and make their liberation a priority task” which, in this case in France, inevitably means the liberation of this historical combatant of the Palestinian cause.
The time to win has come, comrades, because since these first supporters – honor to them – engaged in the struggle now twenty years ago, we have never been so close to the victory and the liberation of this prisoner of the reason of the State whose freedom is no longer conditional on the signature of a Minister of the Interior who follows orders.
The time to win has come, comrades, because there is no longer time for the French government neither to circumvent a court decision, nor for the voices “representing the executioner and his defense or their hatred against the disinherited of the earth” to prevail!
The time to win has come, to honor the resistance of a whole life of this revolutionary who despite all these years, has never denied anything of his commitments, he has continued the struggle beyond the walls, for the victory or the victory, and today he himself is a symbol of resistance!
The time to win has come, comrades, because Georges Abdallah is our comrade! He is part of our struggles and we are of his combat and that we know it well: to attack one of us is to attack all of us and to defend one of us is to defend all of us!
So, yes, now three weeks from the rendering of the Appealing Court, in the diversity and unity of our support and the strength of our commitment, let us engage in this last straight line to put all our strength in the mobilization until the final deliberation. Let us call all our forces to be massively present in Paris on February 8 during the new national demonstration called by the Unitary Campaign so that together and only together we shout that on February 20, Georges Abdallah will be released!
“Certainly, today as yesterday, the release of revolutionary prisoners is a priority task; It has been always a moment of great people’s effervescence and has participated in the most significant way in the influence of the Palestinian Revolution (…) Let us be, comrades, at the height of this duty! And if necessary, let us remember loudly to all that it is the most sacred duty and that any revolutionary must be ready to pay for it!
