
Protests against murders and police violence in Londrina, Brazil
On Saturday 1st of March a protest took place in Londrina, Paraná, against the murder of two youths by the Military Police. Since the murders took place, the people has mobilized and protested in Londrina. We already reported on this crime and on more cases of the police violence in Brazil:
The demonstration took place in the morning in downtown Londrina, where there was support from family members, residents of the neighborhood of the murdered youths, and supporters, who protested against police violence.
The unified act began with a rally where activists making interventions at the microphone, including some points: the exploitation by the reactionary government of Ratinho Jr; the killing by the Military Police in the hills of the peripheries over the last 10 years; the negligence of Thiago Amaral and his councilors, enemies of the people. The mother of one of the youths made a speech denouncing the crime committed by the Military Police.
After the rally, a demonstration took place.
