Mexico: Weekly Newsletter
We hereby share an unofficial translation of the Mexico part of the Weekly Newsletter published by Sol Rojo Mexico.
Just like it was announced, on the 11th of April the Current of the People Red Sun did simultaneously, in the framework of the 106th anniversary of the murder of General Emiliano Zapata and the 6th anniversary of the homicide of Luis Armando Fuentes Aquino, two important mobilizations demanding justice for our murdered comrades. In Tehuantepec and the City of the Resistance (Oaxaca) hundreds of Solrojistasraised high the red banners of the New Democratic Revolution. The people started to gather at 9 o’clock and the marches started an hour later. In the Isthmus the march went from the Monument of the Tehuana Woman to the installations of the regional vice attorney’s office, meanwhile the one in the City of the Resistance started in the Parque del Llano and went to the Main Square.
On its way, both mobilizations showed combative actions like graffiti of the faces and names of our comrades fallen in the struggle, and posters that announced the II Political Congress of our organization. During a press conference our democratic organization memorized the names and struggles of the martyrs, that now have been elevated to heroes of the people, there on both locations were held meetings where the spokesperson raised the claim for justice and punishment for the guilty once again. Additionally they denounced the health condition that the comrade Arnulfo García Santos has to face in prison, a political prisoner in the penitentiary of Miahuatlán who has lost his sight and his motor abilities.
In both places our democratic organization has insistingly claimed for the presentation of Dr. Ernesto Sernas García alive as a central demand, and to raise the solidarity with the family of the activist Sandra Domínguez which disappearance lasts for six months. The activities have concluded also the simultaneous form announcing that the Day of Struggle in Defense of the People’s Rights, Justice and Freedom will continue in the following dates, remembering that the following May marks seven years of the forced disappearance Dr. Sernas.
It was the State! Fallen comrades in the struggle will be avenged in the struggle! Because the color of blood is never forgotten, the massacred will be avenged! Stop the war against the people and State terrorism!
