Brazil: more than 100 students in Chapecó in event for the Palestinian Resistance
Hereby we publish an unofficial translation of an article by the Newspaper A Nova Democracia.
The Pro-Palestine table was composed by Dr. Yasser Fayad who entered the UFFS campus Chapecó and a representative of the Newspaper A Nova Democracia. The audience filled the event exactly like the horrible rainfall filled the streets that day.
The support committee of the newspaper A Nova Democracia, together with the foundation commission of the catarinese executive of students of pedagogy (ExCEPe), realized on the 27th of march a successful event about the Palestinian resistance in the international politics, managing decisively the victories of this people towards the so-called “unbeatable army” of the nazi-zionists.
The agitation for this event was made by different brigades of the committee in the Federal University of Fronteira Sul (UFFS) during March, in which sweets and stickers have been sold to help with the finances of this event. In total there been 8 brigades.
Additionally, participants of the ExCEPe were in the beginning of the clases in the classrooms to agitate all students for the participation on this event, also gluing on the walls and busstations.
The students got invited to participate in a poster office between the blocs of the university, that took place on the 20th of march as a form of taking part in the event, decorating and showing his support in actions concerning Palestine.
The table was made by Dr. Yasser Fayad who entered the UFFS Campus Chapecó and a representative of the newspaper A Nova Democracia. The auditory in which the event took place was as filled as the streets that been flooded by the stormy rain that day. A representative of SINDTAE [Translator’s note: Union of Administrative Technicians of the Federal University of Fronteira Sul (UFFS)] commented that the Students stayed till the end, what is admirable and demonstrates the importance of the event.
The moderator of the event was a representative of the ExCEPe, who invited in the beginning the organizations in struggle of the university, which are the SINDTAE, SINDUFFS [Translator’s note: Union Section of UFFS’ teachers] and the representatives of the administration and computer science courses.
The representatives brought up the mobilization that is happening on the need of professors, especially in these courses, and their fight against the poverty, that they presented on 25th of march in a realized assembly. The moderator of the event brought up the day of the struggling student and related it with these struggles.
Before the event there was realized a gluing of posters, focuses on the demand for professors in the UFFS and the importance of a combative students movement that fights for its rights in the university. During the event the topic came up, how the Palestinian youth is facing the fight and serves as example for the students struggle all over the world.
