Trondheim

The activists started the day with an anti-imperialist demonstration. They marched with banners, Palestinian flags, and LCP flags, as well as placards with the logo of the Anti-Imperialist League. A speech was delivered, music was played, and leaflets were distributed to passers by. The speech highlighted that despite the imperialists’ wars and genocides, rising prices, welfare cuts, and attacks on the people’s democratic rights, the workers and the oppressed around the world continue struggling:

Our description of the current situation may seem dark, but everywhere we look, there are streaks, glimmers, and torches of light. The heroic Palestinian people continue their resistance struggle. Poor peasants in Brazil are demanding land and struggling together. Workers are going on general strike in Greece. Students and the masses are rising up against the government in Serbia. Farmers are blocking the streets in Brussels. Youth are attacking police stations in France. Tens of thousands are rising up in Norway, for Palestine, against school closures, for local hospitals, just to name a few! We find all the hope we need in the people’s struggle. For it is the people, and only the people, who can change history, and even though the struggle is hard, it will prevail!

After the speech, slogans were chanted in support of the Palestinian resistance struggle and to strengthen international solidarity.

After the demonstration, Kampkomiteen went to the march of the LO. Slogans were chanted against imperialism and rising prices and leaflets on Palestine were distributed among the attendants to the mobilization and passers by.
