Some Impressions of the 1st of May in Chile – Newspaper “El Pueblo”
Hereby we share an unofficial translation of a report that was sent to us.
In various cities and towns of the country, the proletariat and the people took to the streets to demonstrate the 1st of May as a day of struggle, a day to demonstrate their strength that is being organized more and more against the three mountains that oppress our people.
SANTIAGO
In the capital two marches completely opposite in their objectives occupied the principal avenue “Alameda”.
One of these marches was organized by the opportunist government and the revisionism of the false “C” P, who using their yellow and treacherous unions seek to betray the working class and the people for their sinister goals, principally the elections.
The other that was called “Class-conscious March” summoned dozens of combative, democratic organizations, on which appeared Parties, organizations and groups like football ultras, anarchists, class-conscious unions, and authentic revolutionary communists.
Before that a group of democratic and people’s journalists payed homage to comrade Francisca Sandoval, who was murdered three years ago by a lumpen that received protection by the old State on the March of the 1st of May of 2022. This activity that reunited her family members and friends, got repressed by the police, which took the father of Francisca them and tried without any success, to hinder the homage.
Then in the midst of the class-conscious march, a contingent united as anti-imperialist committee marched with red and Palestine flags raised, distributing leaflets and walking with a banner that said: “Retake and develop Recabarren – rebel with organization against the heights” showing the face of the proletarian leader of Chile, Luís Emilio Recabarren.
As a anti-imperialist action there was burned a flag of the Yankee imperialism, together with fireworks. Additionally a detachment painted graffiti out of the demonstration, with anti-imperialist slogans and tasks of the Revolution of New Democracy, that our country needs.

In the regional capital of Ñuble, a group of housing committees marched through various popular neighborhoods, summoning the neighbors to organize to struggle for housing. This way the people that live there confirmed themselves again in the struggle and in a unified action called neighbors to join the Housing Committee.
