Message by Georges Abdallah to the Demonstrators of 14th of June of 2025 in Paris
We hereby share an unofficial translation of a message by Georges Ibrahim Abdallah published by La Cause du Peuple.
Dear friends, dear comrades:
Years, long years, behind these abominable walls, and the same emotion and determination echo in our solidarity mobilization.
Allow me, as I begin this brief speech, to greet you all and acknowledge the effort made over the past twenty months through your various initiatives in support of the heroic resistance of the Palestinian people, thus supporting and consolidating the fight against the genocidal war unleashed in Gaza and the West Bank.
Certainly, in this time of multidimensional global crisis of globalized capitalism, of wars, of fascistization, and of repression, more than ever, the most significant support we can give to our imprisoned comrades consists, above all, in including this solidarity in the global dynamics of the ongoing struggle.
As you know, comrades and friends, it is now evident that the time spent in prison is no longer the main factor for the release of any revolutionary prisoner. Therefore, it is pointless to dwell on the various judicial trivialities raised by this or that prosecutor or president during court hearings to justify this or that decision. In the war unleashed against the popular masses and the protagonists of active revolutionary struggle, reactionaries from all sides seek by all means to transform revolutionary prisoners from a symbol of struggle into an example to terrorize recalcitrant rebels. That is why it is absolutely necessary that, unable to bend them to renounce and deny their convictions, they bury them alive and thus use them to weaken the morale of those who fight.
That said, the liberation of one comrade or another who is imprisoned always depends on the mobilization that is part of the general dynamics of the ongoing struggle. In fact, they only release the revolutionary prisoner when they realize that their imprisonment begins to weigh more than the potential threats inherent in their release. Precisely for this reason, the most appropriate solidarity we can offer our imprisoned comrades is to become increasingly involved in the field of the ongoing struggle. In light of this observation, we can reflect on the possibilities of the judicial timelines that are emerging.
Dear friends, dear comrades, it is evident that, thanks to these countless initiatives in solidarity with the struggle of the Palestinian popular masses and, in particular, to this youthful enthusiasm in Europe and around the world, in the context of a multidimensional global crisis of globalized capitalism and the exacerbation of all its contradictions, there has been a weakening of certain European governments in the face of the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the West Bank. The Zionist entity is becoming increasingly difficult to represent on the international stage. For this reason, Netanyahu’s supremacist government is waging a war against Iran these days, recalling that the Israeli establishment in the Arab region was presented by its creators as “part of the wall that protects Europe from Asia. We would serve as an advance of civilization against barbarism” (Herzl). The truth is that this hasty race leads nowhere…
The mobilization in Europe these days actively contributes to the acceleration of the mobilization of the Arab masses, a decisive factor in the processes of victory against imperialism and its organic extension, the Zionist entity.
Dear friends, dear comrades, let us not lose sight of the fact that in the face of the occupation and the barbarity of the genocidal occupier, the first legitimate response we must show, before anything else, is solidarity—full solidarity—with those who confront the occupying forces with their blood.
As you can imagine today, the conditions of detention in Zionist prisons are more than a nightmare; to face them, international solidarity proves to be an indispensable weapon… Let us make good use of it!
Naturally, the Palestinian popular masses and their revolutionary vanguards can always count on, and must be able to count on, our mobilization and our active solidarity.
May a thousand solidarity initiatives flourish in favor of Palestine and its heroic resistance!
Solidarity, all solidarity with the fighters of the resistance in Zionist prisons and in isolation cells in Morocco, Turkey, Greece, the Philippines, and other parts of the world!
Solidarity, all solidarity with the fighting proletarians!
Honor to the Martyrs and to the popular masses in struggle!
