FDLP-EC: IRAN HAS NO OTHER WAY OUT THAN PEOPLE’S WAR
Hereby we publish an unofficial translation of a statement published by the Front of Defense of People’s Struggles – Ecuador
It is an historic and political fact: there are no sustainable alternatives apart than the People’s War. It’s only real source of power comes from the vast people’s masses, deeply anti-imperialist and anti-Zionist. Apart from this Iran is surrounded, without objective outlines to destroy the invader.
The criminal attack of Yankee-imperialism against the nuclear installations of Iran is proving a certain technological superiority at this moment. But that’s it. Like Chairman Mao taught: “imperialism is a paper tiger”; can launch concrete strikes, deadly, but can’t solve by it it’s strategic decay. Bombs don’t win wars when the masses are organized, armed and have decided to fight. The experience proves that, there where the people are waging just, legitimate wars, the armies of imperialism and it’s lackeys are being defeated, obliged to make massacres like those committed in Palestine, massacres that simply prove their failure, not their strength.
Iran uses nuclear energy, yes. It uses it for industrial, energetic and medic purposes. And if it would decides to develop nuclear arms as a mean of defense against an existential aggression, it is a legitimate right of a sovereign State, specially when there are powers who maintain nuclear arsenals for the purpose of blackmail and domination. As Lenin has denounced: “Imperialism, highest stage of capitalism, where few powers plunder and oppress other nations.” Why should we permit being suppressed, assaulted, invaded and exploited?
Who may stand up with regulating morality of the use of nuclear arms? The United States, lead by a depraved mafia of multi-billionaires, drug-addicts and pedophiles? Israel, the biggest lackey of the Pentagon and armed arm of Zionism in West Asia? Europe, ambiguous, cynic and finally, servile to the interests of Yankee-imperialism? Or maybe Russia or China, who operate in their own imperialist logic in competence?
There is no possible equilibrium in the world system. Chairman Mao said clearly: “Peace is a reactionary dream, what exists is war: imperialist war or People’s War, there is no third way.” Therefor, the only way, truly liberating for Iran and any other People that does not want to be devoured by imperialism is the Protracted People’s War. Only this way you can destroy Imperialism. Only through this way you conquer independence. Only this is hoy the masses make history.
Iran has to learn deep lessons of this war. The first is that the peoples of the world are supporting them, as they have supported Palestine, Lebanon and Yemen heroically. The world’s streets have been shouting against Zionism and Imperialism, and this can’t be underestimated. Iran’s force will never be subjected in weak architecture of strategic , diplomatic, or commercial alliances of Russian or Chinese imperialism, whose agenda responds to it’s own hegemonic interests. Iran’s force lies in the Peoples of the World, and moreover in it’s own armed, organized and mobilized people.
Iran needs to understand with anti-imperialist clarity, that it cant base it’s defense on sophisticated weapons or technological development. This is the imperialist logic, that trusts in the technical accumulation to maintain its dominion. But, as Chairman Mao warned: “Weapons are an important factor in war, but not the decisive factor; it is people, not things, that are decisive.” Even more: “Revolutionary war is the war of the people; only mobilizing the masses and rely on them, the war can be unleashed and the victory gained”
The only invincible force is the armed sea of masses. No enemy, as powerful he may seem, can annihilate 90 millions of persons that are convinced in it’s own purposes, sworn to it’s own history, it’s land and dignity. Vietnam gave us an unforgettable lection: defeated Yankee-imperialism with political determination, with Guerrilla-war, with the support of the people. The same happened and is happening in Afghanistan, in Lebanon, Yemen and Gaza. Even though the price was high, the peoples resist, fight, and transform the history with courage and blood.
“Oppose nuclear war with war of the masses. Oppose the atomic bomb with People’s War.”This is no empty slogan. This is a line of life and death for the oppressed people. Those who separate themselves of her, get lost in the labyrinth of circumstantial alliances, of opportunism and dependence.
Iran has to choose with strategic clarity: if it holds on to conventional defense or assumes the path of Protracted People’s War, rooted in the masses, sustained by the mobilization of large majorities to confront the main contradiction they have right now: Nation-Imperialism.
This is the only true invincible way. Everything else is just a passing illusion.
