AND Editorial- The criminal game of Trump against the Iranian nation fails

Trump ordered Netanyahu to attack Iran to force the latter, under the threat of total war against it, to return to the negotiating table weakened and accept more limitations on its nuclear program, and Netanyahu did just that. However, due to Trump’s maneuvering, Netanyahu acted in his own interests, carrying out attacks beyond what the occupant of the White House intended, crossing the “red line” to compel his master to also attack Iran. This situation revealed a first failure for Trump in this war, as he had to demonstrate strength against Iran and the world, ordering the Pentagon to drop the heaviest bombs on Iranian nuclear facilities, thus resorting once again to bravado, claiming to have destroyed that country’s nuclear program. This is a lie; it was merely a criminal and bandit-like charade, resulting in his second failure.

The 14 GBU-57 bombs—never before used—ordered by Trump against Iran’s three main nuclear facilities represent yet another war crime among the many on the record of Yankee imperialism. It remains the state that has committed the most crimes against humanity in over 120 years, and it would take many pages just to list them. In this specific case, the crime is for the obvious reason: bombing nuclear facilities, regardless of the circumstances of their operation, constitutes a willful attempt at a nuclear attack, and if they contained enriched uranium, as the West claimed, it would be as devastating as the use of tactical atomic bombs.

It is noted that, in the face of Trump and Netanyahu’s threats to bomb operational plants, the “respected” European and American authorities, journalists, and monopolistic media outlets in the service of the former, all of whom raised loud criticisms about the danger of a nuclear war in response to the Russian imperialism’s invasion of Ukraine, are the same hypocritical and shameless cynics who remained silent in complicity or were even notable enthusiasts of the possibility of “destroying the Iranian nuclear program,” even though they possess atomic arsenals that they use to blackmail the oppressed, exploding enriched uranium all around! In fact, bombing nuclear facilities is unprecedented, and the risk involved is only comparable to World War II, when the U.S. genociders dropped two atomic bombs unexpectedly on a civilian population in a militarily destroyed Japan, under the pretext of forcing a formal surrender. When Chairman Mao Tse-Tung said that “the imperialists will never become Buddhas,” he warned everyone never to ignore the following fact: they, the imperialists, are willing to commit the greatest lows and the greatest crimes to prolong their dominance for a few more decades.

All this crime would be even more horrendous if it weren’t for the game that the imperialists are compelled to play, as they all fear precipitating a third world war, given the conditions in which the world finds itself, including the growing anger of the popular masses amid the suffering they endure under this decomposing system of exploitation and oppression. All of Trump’s bluster, claiming that “the Iranian nuclear program has been obliterated” and that the ceasefire was achieved after the U.S. subdued the “regime of the ayatollahs,” is a political maneuver to present himself, to his social base and the world, as the “champion” of peace, when his miserable and despicable Zionist lackey, without any honor, cannot even refrain from violating the very ceasefire agreement proposed by his master; he wants to present himself as the promoter of “peace through strength,” the “American pax” increasingly repudiated around the world; with this, he tries to hide the great truth that he is accumulating successive failures.

In this case, the Iranian nuclear program was not “obliterated,” as, although the facilities were “significantly damaged,” the 400 kg of uranium enriched to 60% are secure and sufficient for the construction of at least nine nuclear warheads, provided they are enriched to 90%. Some say that such enrichment, under certain conditions, could be achieved in weeks, while U.S. intelligence, contradicting Trump, claims that the nuclear program has been delayed by a few months. The fact is that, days before the bombing, all the material was removed by trucks, an operation that was recorded by satellite and whose photos were published by the monopolistic U.S. press. It is hard to suppose that U.S. intelligence did not detect such an operation to remove the nuclear material, which raises the hypothesis that Trump attacked the facilities with prior warning to the Iranian authorities, thus aware that he would not achieve the touted “destruction” of the nuclear program, revealing his weakness and impotence in a situation where he is entangled on all sides and cannot confront the legitimate and necessary nuclear plans of the Iranian nation. Thus, the U.S. chose a delay of months, the exact timeframe of which will depend on how quickly Iran can restore its nuclear facilities for uranium enrichment or continue from clandestine sites, as Israel has been doing for over three decades with U.S. support and the blind eye of the “International Community” and its International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The reality is that the Iranian regime has not lost its nuclear program and has not submitted, having even stated that it will continue with it and withdraw from the imperialist “Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.”

The imperialist intervention by the U.S. in the Middle East, whether directly or through its attack dog, the Zionist entity, will invariably continue to ignite the region and reap failures, even at the cost of much bloodshed from the popular masses. In the short term, the U.S. has already initiated the next campaign of aggression against Iran; the temporary peace to which Yankee imperialism is forced (since the U.S. is not currently interested in a total war to replace the regime in Iran) is merely a breather for new genocidal campaigns and aggression against the Iranian nation, as soon as it makes significant progress in its legitimate nuclear program, which shows strong signs that it will not give up. The next campaign will thus be more serious and dangerous than the previous one, in a spiral that, interspersed with temporary agreements, will result in the exhaustion of partial aggression actions, at which point the U.S. will be compelled to engage in total war against Iran with the aim of replacing the regime or even fracturing the country with reactionary civil wars, in order to prevent an Iran with equal military capabilities in relation to the Zionist entity. This is non-negotiable for the U.S. and is the only condition to achieve what is increasingly proving to be unachievable: the consolidation of its total dominance in the so-called Expanded Middle East. A similar situation, but on a different scale, is faced by the atomic power of Russia, in maintaining its unique hegemony in the world. At the same time, this genocidal trend of aggression against the Iranian nation is also a huge headache and a serious setback to its strategic plans, which require a focus on the contest for unique hegemony in the Pacific, where China strongly threatens its dominance. In other words, the U.S. can no longer maintain its unique hegemony as before; it is declining amid the general crisis of decomposition of the entire imperialist system, the core of which lies in its economy and the predatory relations it imposes on the rest of the world.

Thus, the Iranian regime, attacked by Yankee imperialism and Zionism in targeted operations, but aware that sooner or later it will be the target of all the genocidal brutality of the Yankees in a total war, is compelled, for its survival, to support the anti-imperialist resistance in the region and positions itself ambiguously within it, financing and supporting even the Palestinian National Resistance, to wear down and defeat the U.S. spearhead in the Middle East, the Zionist entity. The only guarantee of peace for Iran is the presentation of its nuclear warheads, a right and necessity for this oppressed nation, which would simultaneously represent a significant obstacle to the unique hegemony of Yankee imperialism in the region—and the end of Israeli expansionism, serving the cause of Palestinian national liberation from the Nazi-Zionist colonial yoke.

The development of the situation only confirms once again that Yankee imperialism is a paper tiger, a giant with feet of clay. It is urgent for anti-imperialists to raise the protest and the cry of: Yankees out of the Middle East! Long live the heroic Palestinian National Resistance! Long live the anti-imperialist resistance of the Iranian people! Death to Nazi-Zionism!
