New Reports on Actions by the NPA in the Philippines

Hereby we share some reports of the actions done by the New People’s Army.

Revolutionary justice Punishes a Raper and Take Firearms

At about 5:30 am today, a unit of Roselyn Jean Pelle Command-New People’s Army (RJPC-NPA) carried out a punitive action against a notorious rapist in Barangay Bandila, Toboso, Negros Occidental.

Isagani Imalay aka “Uko” perpetrared several counts of rape and attempted rape terrorizing women in the community and preying on the young and vulnerable.

He was previously charged for rape in the reactionary court and issued warrant, but because of law enforcement’s lukewarm treatment of his case, he remained scot-free until now to persist in his reprehensible acts of violating women.

In stark contrast, the appropriate branch of revolutionary people’s court forthwith took cognizance of his case in lieu of the mounting clamor for justice from the masses and the victims themselves and their families. He was fairly tried in an impartial judicial process. Even with his conviction, he was given a chance to mend his crooked ways and reform but to no avail because he remained unrepentant until the end.

Imalay was armed to the teeth when Red fighters cornered him and he fiercely resisted. Seized from his possession were .45 and .357 pistols and one Ingram submachine gun along with their magazines and ammunitions.

The punishment of Imalay highlights the superiority of people’s revolutionary justice system over the essentially inept, corrupt and elitist judicial system of the reactionary state. Revolutionary justice is epitomized in the slogans fair, swift and just.

Surely, the online mouthpiece of the Armed Forces of the Philippines will again resurrect their imagined ghost of “killing spree” and will spin doctor the punishment of Imalay as “senseless killing” of a civilian.

From such narrative, they are only exposing themselves as enablers of criminals like the rapist “Uko” and other scoundrels whose punishments welcomed by the masses as big relief from the burden they caused.

NPA encounter kills 4 soldiers under 4th ID

At least four 28th IB soldiers under the 4th ID died in an encounter with a New People’s Army (NPA) unit in Sityo Kiudto, Barangay Hagpa, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon on May 23. Those killed included a lieutenant and a corporal. Five other soldiers sustained injuries.

The report from the NPA-North Central Mindanao Region states that the Red army fired first at the walking 28th IB troopers. The battle lasted ten minutes, and the people’s army unit immediately withdrew safely. Meanwhile, the 28th IB continued firing indiscriminately for thirty minutes.

The 4th ID initially reported the encounter and admitted that their troops were injured, but did not disclose the recorded number of deaths in their ranks. The soldiers used a Black Hawk helicopter to retrieve their dead and wounded.

The defeated 4th ID soldiers retaliated by firing six cannon shells at the residents’ farms. This terrorist act by the military caused great fear, trauma, and destruction of livelihoods.

The 4th ID commander boosted the morale of the 28th IB, which lost and wounded troops, by recognizing the wounded troops as “heroes,” but gave no recognition to the soldiers who died.

Meanwhile, the NPA launched a harassment operation against the forces of the 88th IB in Sityo Dinalhagan, Barangay Balagnan, Esperanza, Agusan del Sur on May 8. The Red army’s harassment operation targeted the same troops in the sitio again on May 18. This caused tension among the brutal soldiers and their combat operations.

Other reported actions

At last three members of the 62th Infantry Battalion were eliminated by a grenade launcher on June 14 by the Leonard Panaligan Command of the NPA. The attack is motivated by the just demands of the people against the continuous military operations, intimidation and harassment.

The order of the revolutionary people’s jury, done by the demands of the masses, was carried out. It was demanded the punishment of the military spy responsible of the March 18 raid on a temporary camp of the NPA.
