India: Two Paramilitary Injured in Bijapur

According to local reports, two personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were injured after an improvised explosive device (IED), planted by Maoist guerrillas went off in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district on Tuesday.

The action took place on the Timapur-Murdanda road in Awapalli area. The paramilitaries were transported to the district hospital in Bijapur. The repressive forces were patrolling when two personnel of CRPF’s 229th battalion came under the impact of the explosion.
