New Actions by CPI (Maoist): One Police Officer Eliminated and Several Others Injured

The Communist Party of India (Maoist) has carried out several actions against the forces of the old Indian State. This actions take within the framework of actions against Operation Kagaar, a brutal counter-revolutionary campaign unleashed by the old Indian State in its war against the poor people.

Senior police officer was eliminated by a IED blast in Chhattisgarh. The explosion took place on June 9, near Sukma district, while the officers were inspecting the site were supposedly Maoist carried an arson attack on Sunday night. The Superintendent of Police succumbed soon after the blast and two more personnel were injured and needed hospital assistance.

Another similar action took place in Saranda forest, in Jharkhand. Duringt the action. One IED blasted, resulting in one CoBRA personnel, special unit against Maoists, from the 209 battalion injured by the blast blast. The officer had to be sent to the hospital to heal his injures after the action.

It was reported that in an allegedly operation by CPI (Maoist), they could regain more than four tonnes of explosives gathered from a truck in Odisha. A group of up to 40 supposedly Maoists forced the vehicle to stop at gunpoint, they took the driver – who was later released unharmed – and gathered the explosives. Immediately after that, the security personnel of the old Indian State launched a campaign to recover the explosives fearing that more similar actions using IED blasts could be done.
