Yeni Demokrasi has reported that the State of Israel bombarded Damascus, capital of Syria, yesterday. The attacks targeted the Tishreen Presidential Palace, the backyard of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff Headquarters.
The number of casualties is still unclear. According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), two people were injured as a result of the Israeli attack. But, according to Palestine Chronicle, Syrian sources “confirmed extensive damage to the General Staff building. The Syrian Ministry of Health reported three fatalities and 34 injuries among civilians in central Damascus.”
Southern Syria has also been bombarded, where Syrian military vehicles have been destroyed in and around Sweida. The Syrian State media, SANA, confirmed civilian casualties in this city.
