India: Action by the RSF Against old Indian State Representatives

On the 2nd of October, ABVP(Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is a student organization, linked to the reactionary organization RSS) burnt effigies of Mao Tse-tung, Charu Majumdar, Basavaraju and figures of mass movement activists including Umar Khalid, Sharjeel Imam, Afzal Guru and others at Jawaharlal Nehru University, branding them as “Urban Naxals”.

RSF writes: “In this program, ABVP made clear the message of their political program on the centenary of their parent organization, RSS. The terrorist RSS is identifying Maoist revolutionary communists, indigenous and young Muslim mass movement activists as their main enemies and openly declaring genocide and state terrorism against them.”

RSF, on the 3rd of October, at the call of various mass organizations and individuals, responded to these attacks from RSS “in the language that they consider dangerous to their own existence.”, by burning “pictures of the fathers and bearers of the Hindutva ideology, like Hedgewar, Golwalkar, Savarkar, Mohan Bhagwat, Dattatreya Hosewale, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.
