Brazil: Students Carry Out the Campaign “Immediate Freedom for the Student Mateus Galdino”
We hereby share an unofficial translation of an article by the People’s Revolutionary Student Movement (MEPR) from Brasil.
During the celebration of the major street carnival in Brasil, students and activists of the anti-imperialist cause joined the campaign for the liberation of the imprisoned comrade. More than 2,000 leaflets were distributed to workers and supporters in Olinda and Recife.
The campaign was warmly welcomed, showing support and solidarity from the people of Recife, who clapped at the activist during their intervention in the show. Well-known figures of the musical sector, as the singer of the band Ratos de Porão, João Gordo, openly positioned themselves in favor of the campaign.

In this sense, we want to strengthen the call on all supporters of the struggle of the oppressed peoples of the world to join this important campaign to immediately free our comrade, a political prisoner of the anti-imperialist struggle!

It is Right to Rebel!
Freedom for the Student Mateus Galdino, Political Prisoner of the Anti-imperialist Struggle!
