Brazil – Poem: WE WILL WIN!

We hereby share an unofficial translation of a poem written by Omar Almeida and dedicated to the League of the Poor Peasants (LCP) published by A Nova Democracia (AND).

To the League of Poor Peasants

The peasant blazes the trail

with his hands gripping the hoe,

marching and fighting for land,

preparing for a new dawn.

His seeds are the millions

of Alexinas, Flechas, Juliões…

Who in these corners irrigated

with the blood of the people’s children,

will yield lustrous and crimson

feet, undaunted by the furnace

of the great Agrarian Revolution.
