FORWARD TO THE SOCIALIST REVOLUTION!
May Day is the international day of struggle for workers around the world. It is a historic day when, all over the world, hundreds of millions of workers, peasants, students, and revolutionaries will march to defend their rights and denounce imperialism, fascism, and capitalist exploitation. It is a day of struggle for our entire class on an international scale.
Faced with a world where contradictions are intensifying and the major imperialist powers are plunging into an arms race, we proclaim loud and clear: Only the Socialist Revolution will emancipate humanity! We will fight to prevent imperialist war!
The ongoing genocide in Palestine, as well as the heroic struggle of the masses across the globe who are shaking imperialism on every continent—right down to the imperialist centers—compel us to unite even more closely and to provide ever-stronger support for the ongoing national liberation struggles, as well as for the People’s Wars that are challenging the old world.
US imperialism is today the main enemy of the peoples of the world. Its attack on Iran demonstrates its determination to crush any people who challenge its hegemonic power. This power is attempting by every means to seize control of entire continents, with the sole aim of plundering resources and exploiting people to prop up a dying economic system.
The genocidal Trump represents the most reactionary, most voracious interests of the American imperialist bourgeoisie. He deploys his fleets across all the oceans and seeks to demonstrate to Iran, Palestine, and Venezuela that he will stop at nothing to keep his boot on the necks of oppressed peoples. Anyone who opposes American domination thus finds themselves threatened with being “sent back to the Stone Age.”
In France, the struggle of the working class, students, and the broad masses demands ever greater organization. We are facing an unprecedented crisis of the system; attacks on our rights, our democratic freedoms, and the gains of the working class are intensifying day by day. The bourgeoisie is now threatening workers with the abolition of May 1 as a public holiday. Militarization is at work everywhere: the government seeks to reinstate military service, and public services are collapsing to the benefit of the army. The state seeks to muzzle universities and continues its repression and permanent occupation of working-class neighborhoods. But resistance is everywhere: struggles in the factories are intensifying, the youth are organizing more and more, blocking their high schools and universities, and housing struggles are taking up more and more space in our neighborhoods… The masses of France will not stand idly by, and they will rise to the occasion.
French imperialism is trying to preserve its influence, which is being severely tested. It seeks to maintain its colonial domination over Kanaky, French Guiana, Martinique, and Guadeloupe. We strongly reaffirm here: Down with the French colonies! Freedom for the peoples crushed by imperialism!
We call for participation in the May 1st demonstration in Paris, through a great red, anti-imperialist, and revolutionary march, to show our solidarity with the peoples of the world, to denounce reactionary tendencies and militarization, and to defend the struggle of the working class in France and elsewhere. May Day belongs neither to the opportunists nor to the social democrats; May Day belongs to the revolutionaries: it is red and it will remain so! Everyone gather in front of the pharmacy at 5 Place de la République at 1:30 PM on May 1!
