Anti-imperialist and Anti-fascist Marches Gathers Hundreds in Tampere and Turku, Finland

In the past couple of weeks, two demonstrations have been carried out in Finland, Punalippu reports.
On the 31st of May, in Tampere, an anti-fascist demonstration against the police-protected assaults at a “Blue and Black” protest have been carried out. According to a report received from Punalippu, the demonstration was participated by around 500-1000 people, with police being present in large numbers and with horses.




On the 24th of May, in Turku, a rally was organized by Red Action and the Turku chapter of the SKP under the slogan “Yankees out of Latin America! Down with imperialist aggression!”. Speeches were held by Red Action, SKP and Turku Peace Defenders, condemning the aggression against Cuba, the role of Finnish imperialism in the plunder of Latin America, and highlighting actions of US imperialism and its lackeys to “subjugate Latin America ever more deeply as the backyard of US imperialism.
Slogans such as “Yankees, no! Cuba, yes!”, “US and Finland out of Latin America!”, “End imperialist aggression!” and “Long live the 1st Congress of the Anti-Imperialist League!” were chanted during the demonstration.
