Israel has refused its withdrawal from southern Lebanon, insisting on maintaining its criminal occupation of sovereign territory of another country. Moreover Israel has recently signed an agreement with the Lebanese government, which seeks to legitimize its occupation and to liquidate the resistance, which has been rejected by Hezbollah.

Meanwhile, in southern Lebanon, the resistance continues to assert its presence amid ongoing combats and political developments.

On 28th of June it was reported that Israeli forces encountered a Hezbollah combatant, which led to an armed confrontation in the southern Lebanese town of Deir Siryan. A platoon commander in the 12th Battalion of the Golani Brigade of the Israeli forces was eliminated and one other Israeli soldier wounded.

On July 3rd, a lone Hezbollah combatant engaged Israeli forces in a close-quarters battle in Bint Jbeil, causing three casualties to the Israeli forces.

According to figures not confirmed by the resistance, Hezbollah carried out 637 military operations between April 17th and June 20th, 2026, 402 rocket attacks, 42 air-defense operations, 31 anti-tank missile strikes, as well as multiple direct engagements with the Israeli forces.
