Sol Rojo: From Mexico to Palestine, the Struggle Does Not End!

We hereby share an unofficial translation of a statement by Sol Rojo Mexico published on the 31st of July.

The signing of the “water cooperation agreement” between the Embassy of “Israel” and the Chihuahua state government should set off alarm bells not only among the people of Chihuahua, but among all the people of Mexico, given what it represents in the current situation and in the immediate future in the face of new threats from Yankee imperialism against our country. Chihuahua is currently governed by the far-right PAN [Translator’s note: National Action Party] Party, represented by María Eugenia Campos Galván, who has allowed constant violations of national sovereignty, such as the “anti-drug” operations in which the involvement of CIA agents was recently documented—two of whom died, and two others were deported to the US after the illegality of their presence on national territory was discovered. The attitude of the Chihuahua state government toward Yankee imperialism—and today toward the Zionist entity—suggests that it is serving as a spearhead in the efforts of meddling and the threat of military intervention against our country; an express desire of Donald Trump throughout his second term in the White House.

In this regard, it must be made clear that the much-discussed agreement jeopardizes water, sovereignty, and the autonomous management of this vital resource in that part of the country, and the main beneficiary will be that thing known as “Israel”—both through the sale of technology, tools, infrastructure, and training, and through the “whitewashing” of its predatory nature. Today, the reactionary government of Chihuahua seeks to justify itself by citing “the Israeli experience,” but it fails to mention that this experience—and the use of technologies and innovation they boast about—has been built on the dispossession of the water, land, and natural resources of the Palestinian people, from whom the damned Zionist entity has stripped every right, including the human right to water.

Israel” is synonymous with dispossession and genocide.

Specifically, the signing and implementation of the agreement serves the interests of Yankee imperialism, criminal Zionism, and the PAN Party, at the expense of depriving the Rarámuri (Tarahumara), Ódami (Tepehuan), O’oba (Pima), Warihó (Guarijío), and Ndé (Apache) peoples of their water. Today it’s the water in Chihuahua; tomorrow they’ll want to expand across the entire country.

It is important not to forget that while the fascists of the PAN and “Israel” celebrate this agreement, the Zionist entity continues its genocidal crusade against Gaza, the West Bank, and the occupied territories of historic Palestine; the aggression did not begin with the Al-Aqsa Flood, but with the Nakba in 1948. Currently, despite the “ceasefire” agreement reached in October 2025, “Israel” systematically violates it. From October 7th, 2023, to July 29th, 2026, the number of martyrs in Gaza has risen to 73,335, with at least 174,052 people wounded. Now, despite the fact that Hamas has announced the dissolution of its governing body in Gaza, the Zionist entity continues to carry out daily massacres against refugee camps and the civilian population; it murders journalists and emergency personnel; it blocks the delivery of humanitarian aid (food, medicine, water, etc.); it detains, imprisons, and kidnaps children, women, and the elderly, currently holding more than 9,300 Palestinians in prison—most of them without charge. Barbarism, massacre, and genocide are hallmarks of the Zionist entity, whose primary purpose is not to reach a peace agreement, but to prevent it at all costs in order to maintain and expand its illegal occupation of the Palestinian territories, extend its occupation of Gaza by expanding the “yellow line” (it currently controls 65% of Gaza’s territory), impose ethnic cleansing against the Arab people, and to gain absolute control over their land, water, and natural resources.

Force the Mexican State to sever relations with “Israel.”

We at the Front of The People—Red Sun and the Promotional Committee of the Anti-Imperialist League Mexico (AIL-Mx) believe that, if we truly want to force the old Mexican State to sever relations with that thing they call “Israel,” we must make solidarity an active, militant, and internationalist endeavor, opposing the damned Zionist entity on all fronts, encouraging the boycott in all its forms, and rejecting the shameful agreement signed by the Chihuahua government. For this reason, we consider it just to support the calls for action in various cities across the country on first of August, issued by the various platforms in support of Palestine and the anti-fascist and anti-imperialist movements in Mexico, while drawing a clear line against fascism and other chauvinist currents that seek to hijack this initiative.

As we have denounced many times, the old Mexican State is a big landlord and big bourgeoisie State subject to the domination of Yankee imperialism, and it has many ties to criminal Zionism that have been documented since the Tlatelolco massacre (military training for the Mexican army), the spying on activists, human rights defenders, and journalists (Pegasus software), the repression of workers and the peoples (the purchase and acquisition of “Israeli” military vehicles, weapons, and ammunition), and, in recent years, the plundering of the nation’s water resources (collaboration agreements with Mekorot, “Israels’” water company). This, along with the agreements on science, technology, education, etc., signed by Mexican public universities with the Zionist entity, reveals the extent of the ideological, economic, political, and military penetration that criminal Zionism is achieving in our country. We must repudiate and eradicate it!

In defense of water and life in Mexico and Palestine!

Death to the damned Zionist entity!

Yankees and Zionists, get out of Mexico!

Anti-imperialists of the world, unite!
