The United States Department of State released a video on its official X account this Tuesday August 11, upholding more than 200 years of Monroe Doctrine, and stating: “American dominance in the Western Hemisphere will never be questioned again,”, A Nova Democracia (AND) reports.

The video is five minutes long and outlines the development of the doctrine since its conception in 1823, and mentions the Theodore Roosevelt’s corollary (1904), the interventions in Panama, Puerto Rico and the “Missile Crisis” in Cuba, showcasing the criminal “Operation Absolute Resolve” that resulted in the kidnapping of Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores on January 3, 2026.

The video, which has been released on occasion of the travel by the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth to Panama, is narrated by the Yankee ambassador in this country, Kevin Marino Cabrera. AND explains that the video includes “blatant historical falsifications and deliberate omissions to cover up centuries of crimes committed against the peoples of the region (…) Furthermore, the official recording methodically conceals the dark history of direct interventions and sponsorship of reactionary and bloodthirsty regimes in the Southern Cone and Central America, omitting the support provided in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Brazil, as well as failed military adventures such as the Bay of Pigs invasion in Cuba”.

AND analyzes that the video revives interventionist guidelines “to justify military and economic expansion over Latin American semi-colonies, masking under false premises of national security the insatiable hunger of Yankee imperialism for strategic resources and captive markets”. The propaganda by Yankee imperialism and its increasing intervention in Latin America takes place amid the “crisis of its sole world hegemony and the advance of inter-imperialist contention” and “desperately attempts to reaffirm its dominance over the Western Hemisphere, expressing the structural inability to sustain the entire global order and concentrating its forces on the relentless subjugation of the Latin American peoples who bravely resist foreign plunder and bureaucratic capitalist exploitation.”
