Global Day of Solidarity with the Struggle of the Filipino People

On the global day of action in solidarity with the struggle of the Filipino people, August 26 – called for by the Friends of the Filipino People in Struggle (FFPS) – several actions were carried out in the Netherlands. In addition, several statements and articles have been published on the occasion.

REBEL! Magazine reports that in the Netherlands, Revolutionary Action, Maya Solidarity, and Inquilabi have issued a joint statement expressing their solidarity with the Filipino people and the revolutionary struggle in the Philippines. They titled the day: “Support the National Democratic Revolution in the Philippines! Fight with the Filipino People Against US-Led War and Plunder.” In the statement, the long history of Filipino people’s struggle against imperialist domination, and feudal oppression and exploitation is highlighted, and the Pax Silica – the latest development in the Yankee imperialist exploitation of the country – is condemned.
